The College of Animal Medicine of China Agricultural University consists of the Department of Basic Medicine, the Department of Preventive Medicine, the Department of Clinical Medicine and the Department of Continuing Education. At present, there are full-time first-class discipline authorization points for doctor and master's degree in agriculture and professional degree authorization points for doctor and master's degree in veterinary medicine, covering five two disciplines cities: basic veterinary medicine, preventive veterinary medicine, clinical veterinary medicine, veterinary biomedicine and veterinary public health.
The history of the College of Veterinary Medicine of China Agricultural University can be traced back to the first veterinary course opened in Shi Jing University, which was established in 1905. 19 14 Shi Jing university was renamed Beijing agricultural college, 1923 was renamed national Peking agricultural university, and 1928 was renamed Peking university agricultural college, all of which offered veterinary courses. 1949 merged into Beijing Agricultural University. 1947 Agricultural College of Northern University was established in Shanxi, Hebei and Henan, with animal husbandry and veterinary departments and veterinary colleges. On July 1948, the Agricultural College of Northern University was renamed as the Agricultural College of North China University. 194910.9, the Department of Veterinary Medicine of Beijing Agricultural University was formally born after the merger of Peking University Agricultural College, Tsinghua University Agricultural College and North China University Agricultural College.
