Distance education is a postgraduate major independently set up by Beijing Normal University, which belongs to the official two disciplines under the first-level discipline of pedagogy (discipline code: 040 122). In June 5438+February 2005, it was officially authorized by the Ministry of Education as the first distance education master's degree program in China.

Distance education majors mainly focus on the basic principles of distance education, online learning and cognitive development, distance learning environment and learning resources, distance education economy and management, and cultivate professionals in the field of distance education practice and international cooperation.
