West taihu lake campus signing 20111065438 On February 29th, the signing ceremony for the construction of Changzhou University west taihu lake campus was held ceremoniously. David Shen, Director of Provincial Education Department, attended the signing ceremony and made an important speech. Comrades from provincial development and reform commission, provincial education department, Wujin district government of Changzhou and other relevant departments attended the signing ceremony. David Shen pointed out that Changzhou University should closely rely on the care and support of local Party committees and governments, with high standard positioning, high starting point planning, high-quality construction and high-level operation, and strive to build a modern new campus with elegant style, beautiful environment and distinctive features, which is conducive to students' study, life and healthy growth, constantly improve school conditions, make efforts to deepen education and teaching reform, and constantly improve the quality of personnel training to make new and greater contributions to building a strong education province and taking the lead in realizing education modernization. At the signing ceremony, Yuzhong Pu, president of Changzhou University, and Zang Jianzhong, acting head of Wujin District People's Government, signed an agreement on the construction of Changzhou University's west taihu lake campus. According to the agreement, the new campus of Changzhou University in west taihu lake is located in Wujin, north of Yan Zheng West Road, south of Jinhua Road, west of Fengze Road and east of Jinmeng River, with a land acquisition area of 1.258 mu, which can accommodate 1.300 students in the long term. On the north side of west taihu lake Campus, 300 mu of planned land is reserved for jointly building R&D and innovation bases. As the main node of Wujin Science and Technology Corridor, west taihu lake Campus is adjacent to Changzhou University's main campus, and the two campuses will echo each other to realize resource sharing.
