The education of Confucian classics is an education with Confucian classics as its main content, which started from the period of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty in ancient China. Confucian classics are not limited to the Six Classics, but are inextricably linked with them. The origin of Confucian classic education can be traced back to Confucius' private study of the Six Classics, which was later handed down by Mencius and Xunzi. After the Qin Dynasty burned books and buried Confucianism, thanks to the word-of-mouth transmission of the Six Classics in Xunzi period, scholars began to repair the Confucian Classics, but the repaired Confucian Classics has been distorted by political influence and is called "modern Confucian Classics"; Later, the Six Classics were found on the walls of abandoned houses and old houses, which were later called "China Ancient Classics". The study of ancient classics in China first existed and then developed, while the study of modern classics in China first existed and then developed. In the process of development, Confucian classics gradually changed to divination theology, because it has one characteristic, that is, it caters to politics, and everything goes too far and becomes more and more distorted.
In the Han Dynasty, the central officials studied imperial academy and modern Confucian classics. Local official schools in Han dynasty studied Confucian classics in the county; In the private schools of the Han Dynasty, some students studied classical Chinese and some modern Chinese. During the post-Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, the central official schools (imperial academy, Guo Zi School, Four Schools, etc. ) began to resume studying China's ancient classics. Later Confucian classics education did not end until the end of feudal society.
It can be seen that both official and private schools are carrying out Confucian classic education. Please correct me if there is anything wrong with my own point of view. After all, I have only read a few books related to pedagogy. )
