National Security Education Day (English) is a festival to enhance national security awareness and safeguard national security. On July 1 2065438, the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) passed Article 14 of the National Security Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), and designated April 15 as the National Security Education Day for all.

April 15, 2023 is the eighth National Safety Education Day. The theme is "implementing the overall national security concept, enhancing the national security awareness and literacy of the whole people, and consolidating the social foundation for ensuring the new development pattern with the new security pattern".

The "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" outlines that it is necessary to thoroughly implement the overall national security concept and implement the national security strategy. It is necessary to formulate and implement national security policies in key areas such as politics, territory, economy, society, resources and network, safeguard the sovereign security of state power, prevent and resolve economic security risks, and strengthen the construction of the rule of law in national security.

According to the National Security Law, national security work should adhere to the overall national security concept, aim at people's security, take political security as the basis, take economic security as the basis, take military, cultural and social security as the guarantee, rely on promoting international security, safeguard national security in an all-round way, build a national security system, and take the national security road with China characteristics.
