Nanning Normal University was founded on 1953. It is located in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, formerly known as the College of Continuing Education of Guangxi Middle School. It is a national model university for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education and a pilot university of the "Hundred Schools Project" project of the Ministry of Education. The school was selected as the basic capacity building project (Phase II) and the new engineering research and practice project of universities in the central and western regions of China.
Journal of Nanning Normal University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition) is a comprehensive academic theory quarterly magazine sponsored by Guangxi Normal University and publicly distributed at home and abroad. It is the first China Top 100 Social Science Journals, the 4th National Excellent Social Science Journals, the National Excellent Social Science Journals, the RCCSE China Core Academic Journals (Extended Edition) and the Guangxi Excellent Social Science Journals, and won the first prize of Guangxi University Journals of Liberal Arts. The column "Research on Intangible Cultural Heritage" is a special column of national social science periodicals.
