The National Computer Rank Examination (hereinafter referred to as NCRE) is a national computer proficiency examination system approved by the former State Education Commission (now the Ministry of Education) and sponsored by the Education Examinations Institute of the Ministry of Education. It is geared to the society and is used to test candidates' computer application knowledge and skills.
The examination contents of the three subjects, Computer Foundation and MS Office Application, Computer Foundation and WPS Office Application and Computer Foundation and Photoshop Application, all include two parts: computer foundation and operation skills.
All subjects have the same requirements for basic knowledge, with the examination of what should be known as the theme, multiple-choice questions, and the score accounts for 20%(20 points) of the whole volume. In the office software examination, operational skills include the use of Windows system, text typesetting, spreadsheets, presentations, IE and simple application of e-mail.
Since 2022, the NCRE e-cert has been launched in the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education, and all candidates who meet the requirements for obtaining evidence will receive the e-cert (e-cert is in PDF format, with a verification query QR code, which has the same effect as a paper certificate, and candidates can query and download the e-cert in the certificate query column of China Education Examination Network after registering their real names). Candidates can also apply for paper certificates at the same time when registering.
