The Central Academy of Drama is the first higher drama education institution in New China, directly under the Ministry of Education, the highest institution of drama art education in China, the headquarters of the China Higher Drama Education Alliance and the Asian Drama Education Research Center, and the activity base of the International University Drama Festival of the World Federation of Drama Institutions. The Central Academy of Drama is a world-famous art school, which occupies a place in the drama education of UNESCO. The Central Academy of Drama has two campuses, Dongcheng Campus is located at No.39 Dongmianhua Hutong, Dongcheng District, Beijing, and Changping Campus is located at No.4 Hongfu Middle Road, Changping District, Beijing. The total area of the two campuses is about 230,000 square meters, and the construction area is about 6.5438+0.8 million square meters.
The college campus covers an area of 25.37 mu, with a construction area of nearly 30,000 square meters and complete infrastructure. It has an experimental theater with a building area of 565,438+065,438+0 square meters, more than 700 seats and advanced equipment, which provides favorable conditions for the practice and professional teaching of drama, film and television art in the college. The college library has a building area of 1700 square meters, and has 10 kinds of database management software, which basically realizes the automation of information management and the networking of document retrieval. At present, there are more than 370,000 books, and the China Drama Library is the richest in China.
