Teachers are the most critical factor affecting the quality of education, the concrete organizers and implementers of all educational activities in kindergartens, and the direct actors who exert educational influence on young children. Teachers' educational behavior is an important factor affecting children's development. Educational behavior refers to the explicit activities and behaviors of teachers in educational and teaching activities. It is the external expression of teachers' teaching thoughts and emotions, which is not only the demeanor, body language and personality characteristics of preschool teachers, but also the characteristics of the times that preschool teachers themselves must have, that is, innovative educational ideas, brand-new educational models, flexible educational methods and other explicit activities. Teachers' educational behavior affects children and has a far-reaching impact on their development. But in my observation, I found that some teachers are very popular with children, and some teachers are particularly scared when they let children see them. What kind of teachers do children like and what kind of educational behavior do they like? The author conducted a certain range of investigation.
Second, research methods.
The subjects of this survey are 262 children in kindergarten A, including 89 children in small class (44 boys and 45 girls), 80 children in middle class (38 boys and 42 girls) and 93 children in large class (48 boys and 45 girls).
Small class children's language ability is poor, and they can't fully express their views and ideas, so the author adopts the method of combining pictures and interviews. The author has prepared five pictures: the first picture shows the teacher talking to the children with a smile; The second picture shows the teacher facing the child with a straight face; In the third picture, the teacher is staring at the child with his finger; The fourth picture shows the teacher smiling and touching the child's head with his hand. In the fifth picture, the teacher dresses beautifully, but ignores the children. For the children in the middle class and the big class, the author adopts the methods of observation and interview to understand.
Third, the results and analysis
Small class children
From the table 1, the number of children in small classes who choose the first picture and the fourth picture is the largest, accounting for 38% and 25% of the total number respectively, while the number of children who choose the second picture, the third picture and the fifth picture accounts for 12%, 10% and 15% of the total number respectively. It can be seen that children in small classes like teachers with smiles. However, the survey results show that there are still some children who choose the teacher to glare and point at the child. The teacher dresses up beautifully, but turns a blind eye to the child. When the author asked the children why they chose this painting, the children replied, "I like the teacher's skirt in the painting." "The teacher's hair in the picture is the same as mine." This shows that children in small classes are more easily influenced by pictures when observing them. I have talked with children and know that children like to wear beautiful teachers who love to laugh. It can be seen that children in small classes are easily influenced by the appearance of teachers and the external image of their clothes.
(2) Children in middle and large classes
1. The teacher's external image is an important condition to win children's love.
From Table 2, the proportion of beautiful teachers, middle class children and large class children is 89% and 80% respectively. When the author further asked the children "what kind of teacher is beautiful", the children's answers were varied: "I like teachers who tie their hair." "The teacher with curly hair looks good." "The teacher in the skirt looks good." Wait a minute. When asked "which teacher in your class do you like" and "why do you like this teacher", some children replied "I like teacher XXX, she is very kind to us", "Don't be mean to me, whisper" and "Don't lose your temper"; Some children answered "She teaches us to read" and "She teaches us to draw". The reason why children think the teacher is beautiful is not only the teacher's appearance, but also the teacher's good educational attitude and behavior towards children. It can be seen that children in middle and large classes have certain aesthetic ability and standard, and can combine appearance factors such as beauty with the quality of teachers' educational behavior.
2. Teachers' good educational attitude and behavior are the key factors to win children's love.
80% children in middle class and 90% children in large class like smiling, approachable and amiable teachers. When the author asks, "If you do something wrong, what do you want the teacher to do?", 60% of the children in the middle class and 70% of the children in the big class want the teacher to "don't be mean to the children and don't yell at them." It can be seen that the teacher's emotions and attitudes occupy a very important position in the children's hearts. The author further talked with children and learned that children like teachers because "when I can't do it, the teacher will teach me", "when I do something wrong, I will say I will correct it, and the teacher won't tell my mother" and so on. From the children's answers, it can be seen that teachers' emotional attitudes, educational methods and behaviors have a great influence on children, and good educational attitudes and behaviors can win children's love.
Caring for children is an important guarantee for children to enjoy for a long time.
Through observation, the author found that children in primary and secondary schools often like a teacher with certain emotional and situational characteristics. For example, children don't like the moment when the teacher criticizes them about something. However, the children in the big class will not dislike him just because the teacher criticizes him once. The author interviewed the children in the big class. When asked "You don't like her because the teacher criticized you", many children answered "No". When the author continued to ask about the specific reasons, many children said, "The teacher has always been very concerned about me and is very good to me. I made a mistake this time ","I have a stomachache, and the teacher cares about me and gives me medicine. Later, I got better. " From the interviews with children, it can be seen that only when teachers give their children real care and let them realize their love, can children love their teachers from the heart.
Four. suggestion
1. Teachers should have good appearance and cultivate children's beauty.
A good appearance can leave a good impression on children and make them willing to approach, thus promoting emotional communication between teachers and students and helping to establish a healthy and harmonious atmosphere. In a sense, teachers can show themselves in front of their children with beautiful looks and costumes through proper dress, which not only reflects the inner cultivation of teachers, but also respects children. Therefore, preschool teachers should pay due attention to appearance and instill subtle beauty in children.
2. Preschool teachers should have good personality characteristics.
Children like teachers who smile and are kind. Research on the Personality Characteristics of Excellent Kindergarten Teachers points out that the personality characteristics of excellent kindergarten teachers are: lively and cheerful, enthusiastic, caring for others, gentle, patient and meticulous, sincere, dedicated, good at learning, enterprising, good at cooperating with others, trusting others, pragmatic, willing to work and amiable. Therefore, preschool teachers should take this as a benchmark and strive to improve themselves.
3. Teachers should get rid of children's negative influence and control.
In kindergarten, children and teachers get along with each other day and night, and have close ties. Teachers' educational behavior not only affects the harmonious atmosphere between teachers and children, but also affects the development of children's physical and mental health. The research shows that the main factors affecting preschool teachers' educational behavior are kindergarten teaching management system, teachers' educational concept and work attitude, and teachers' educational skills. The author believes that in addition to these factors, children's negative emotions will also affect teachers' educational behavior. For example, in a teaching activity, a child kept whispering in class, disturbing other children. The teacher criticized him in public, but he continued to quibble. The more he listened, the angrier he became. He couldn't help raising his voice, which affected the whole class and left a bad impression on other children. When this kind of conflict occurs, the teacher needs to be calm and can't have excessive behavior. Teachers should stay awake and get rid of the negative influence and control of children.
Teachers should give equal love to every child.
Educational equity calls for equality in the process of children's education and calls on kindergarten teachers to give equal love to every child. Teachers' preferences will have a far-reaching impact on children's self-evaluation and self-awareness. In kindergarten, we can always see some children hiding in an obscure corner playing alone and not talking to other children. After understanding, I found that the teacher never paid attention to him or praised him. He said, "The teacher doesn't like me and says I'm not good." Because of the lack of knowledge and experience, children will take the teacher's evaluation of others as the standard of self-evaluation, while teachers always praise obedient and obedient children and criticize naughty and undisciplined children. This preference behavior directly affects the formation of children's self-evaluation and self-awareness. Children who are often praised by teachers will show more confidence, while children who are often criticized and ignored by teachers tend to feel inferior. Therefore, every kindergarten teacher should have a pair of eyes that are good at discovering beauty, discover the advantages of every child, give praise and encouragement at every opportunity, give equal care to every child, and make children full of confidence.
