Therefore, in setting the threshold of admission requirements, because the supply of graduate students began to exceed the demand, some units began to make a fuss about the academic system, and the situation of "one-year master" in China began to be embarrassing.
In foreign countries, one-year master's education mainly focuses on project-based curriculum teaching. Students can graduate after completing the corresponding modules and obtaining enough credits, without writing a master's thesis and participating in a master's degree defense. To put it bluntly, the essence is vocational education, not China's highly educated education.
However, it is not easy to get a diploma and a degree certificate for one-year master's education. Although one year is very short, teaching in English, intensive training and high homework requirements are beyond the average person's ability.
