Plane refers to an aircraft heavier than air. It has a power plant, one or more engines to generate forward thrust or pull, and the fuselage has fixed wings to generate lift, flying in the upper, middle and lower atmosphere.
The airplane is one of the most important inventions in the early 20th century, and it is generally believed that it was invented by the Wright brothers in America. Their flight on 1903 17 February 17 was recognized by the International Aviation Federation (FAI) as "the first controlled sustained power flight of heavier-than-air aircraft", and in the same year they founded Wright Aircraft Company.
