First, the harm of drug abuse
Drug abuse affects the creation and accumulation of social and economic wealth. According to the latest figures released by the United Nations Narcotics Control Board, there are more than 50 million drug addicts in the world. Hundreds of thousands of drug addicts die of drugs every year. The global drug trade volume is about $800-10 billion, and countries with serious drug abuse problems have to allocate huge funds for the prevention and treatment of drug abuse and related problems; At the same time, due to long-term drug abuse, the working ability of drug addicts is reduced, or the labor force is completely lost, which affects the creation of social wealth and brings huge economic losses to the country and society.
Drug abuse and crime are twin brothers. Drug abuse has led to an increase in social crimes. On the one hand, drug addicts cannot get rid of the torture of drug addiction. In order to satisfy drug addiction, they take risks and engage in criminal activities such as theft, corruption, prostitution and even murder. On the other hand, the crazy revenge, intimidation, assassination and other activities of drug traffickers seriously threaten the safety of people's lives and property and disrupt social order.
Drug abuse harms my health, causing public health problems such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, the most serious of which is the infection and spread of AIDS. AIDS is one of the most malignant diseases that endanger human health at present, and it is called "super cancer". Its pathogen is human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). People infected with HIV will develop AIDS after a period of incubation. Aids patients usually die of serious infection or malignant tumor caused by severe immune function impairment, and the mortality rate is high.
According to the survey, the main mode of HIV infection in China is drug abuse (intravenous injection) to spread the epidemic. The person in charge of Yunnan AIDS Monitoring Center pointed out: "At present, the infection rate of intravenous drug users among overseas drug users is 23%, while the infection rate of AIDS among drug users in the hardest-hit border areas in China is as high as 68% ..." For example, 1989, a local epidemic of AIDS in Dehong, Yunnan Province, is a typical example. 146 drug users were infected with HIV by injecting drugs with contaminated needles.
Second, the importance of anti-drug education to young people:
1. Teenagers don't have a strong understanding of drugs and a perfect view of right and wrong. In the face of drugs, they often can't deal with them correctly and are easy to take drugs.
Teenagers are active in thinking and always have infinite curiosity about drugs.
3. rebellion. Teenagers are rebellious. Although some people are rebellious and others are rebellious, there are always teenagers who try to take drugs without listening to persuasion.
It is a major feature of young people to blindly follow the trend and pursue new trends. Some of their friends and classmates take drugs. If they are recommended, they may take drugs. Some young people think taking drugs is a very cool thing. Being eager to prove yourself and feeling that you have done something that others dare not do will also make teenagers take drugs.
Teenagers are easy to be deceived, and some are addicted to drugs because of being deceived. Because of the lack of social experience, teenagers can't identify the "ulterior motives" of drug dealers, and they are often easily "seen through".
Combined with the above characteristics, the youth group is actually very popular with drug dealers.
In fact, there are many other factors, such as family factors, environmental factors and social factors, which may lead teenagers astray. Therefore, one must receive basic education from an early age. In addition to the necessary basic knowledge in books, there is also ideological and moral education.
It is necessary to prevent drugs in advance, and it is best to educate teenagers to stay away from drugs from the beginning. Facts have proved that teenagers who prevent drugs in advance are more aware of staying away from drugs, because they know the dangers of drugs, so their curiosity about drugs is far less than that of teenagers who have not received drug education.
Looking at the overall situation, the development of a new generation plays an important role in social development and even the rise and fall of the country. The older generation will grow old and eventually need a new generation to take over. Whether it is thinking, creativity or physical fitness, we must keep up. If the new generation is destroyed by drugs, it will be a big problem not only for individuals, but also for society and the country.
It is very necessary to improve the ability to identify drugs and understand the harm caused by drugs. We can find that many addicts take drugs because they don't know it is a drug, and many are unscrupulous because they don't think it is harmful. Too many "I don't know, I don't understand, I don't know, I don't think …" make more and more people take drugs today, which shows that drug education is really very important and drugs should be carried out as soon as possible.
