University of international business and economics Distance Education College (hereinafter referred to as "Distance Education of Trade University") was established in March 2002 with the approval of the Ministry of Education after China joined the WTO. The Distance Learning Center of Industry and Trade University enrolls students nationwide. At present, there are international trade, finance, law, business English, accounting, business administration, administrative management, insurance, information management and information system (computer application direction), administrative management (customs management direction) and so on 10, involving two academic levels: specialist and specialist. When the time is ripe, postgraduate courses, various non-academic training and international enrollment will be offered.

Distance education in the University of Trade and Economics implements a complete credit system (80+4 credits for junior high school and 80+4 credits for junior college), with a flexible academic system of 2.5-5 years and a standard academic system of 3 years. Students complete all credits within the flexible academic system (junior college students must also write and pass the internship report; Undergraduate students must also pass the national unified examination of some public courses stipulated by the Ministry of Education, and write and pass the graduation thesis) before they can obtain the graduation certificate marked "Online Education" in university of international business and economics, and their academic qualifications are recognized by the state. Graduates who meet the conditions for conferring academic degrees may obtain degree certificates.
