1. Off-campus education should supplement and improve the cultural knowledge lacking in on-campus education.
Due to the limitation of curriculum standards, the content and form of on-campus education are relatively fixed. This will easily lead to the same cultural knowledge and learning content taught by students in school teaching, and the biggest gap can only be the difference in versions. In order to take care of the acceptance of most students, the knowledge and depth of the programs taught by the school are greatly limited, which eventually leads to the phenomenon that only intermediate students can be satisfied, and correspondingly, some students are "not full" and some students are "unable to eat". Compared with school education, off-campus education is relatively free, and the width and depth of children's learning content can be determined according to their actual level and hobbies.
For example, for some students who don't have enough to eat at school, teachers who receive education outside school can broaden their knowledge and satisfy their thirst for knowledge. Tell me a fact that happened to me. I remember my daughter, in the fifth grade of primary school, fell in love with Song Ci because she learned a word "Qingpingle Village Residence" in Chinese textbooks. But at that time, there was no extracurricular education, so I could only take time to add some related vocabulary to my children. But as we all know, it is far less interesting for children to study with their parents than to go to an off-campus educational institution, so it is more interesting to study with friends of the same age, so after studying for a period of time, it will be abandoned. All knowledge learning, the truth is the same, when children are interested in a certain aspect of learning, it is the opportunity for children to learn this aspect. If you can seize this opportunity for your child, it is likely to lead your child to a learning direction that interests you. From my own children, I deeply know that many students have lost some interest in learning because they have not got timely knowledge expansion. So I think the current extracurricular education can just make up for the children's shortcomings in this respect. But we must organize classes according to children's level and hobbies, so that students can really improve.
For students who can't eat at school, our off-campus education can help them digest some knowledge that students can do, ensure that their homework can reach the most basic level, and will not fall behind again, which will lead to the tragedy that children can't keep up with their studies, then they can't continue their studies and finally give up their studies!
2. Off-campus education should be gradual, find a breakthrough to solve students' interest in learning, and cultivate students' interest in learning.
There are very few children at home at present. Parents attach great importance to their children's education and hope that their children can learn more. However, there are not many parents who understand education. They simply think that as long as they try their best to make their children's academic performance go up, their children will have a future and be guaranteed. However, as we all know, children's education is not just a matter of academic performance. Only when children are interested in the content of learning can they learn for a long time. "Confucius said: The knower is not as good as the doer, and the doer is not as happy as the musician." The highest state of education is to make every child who studies feel "happy" about what he has learned. But the real problem is that school education is restricted by various reasons, which will always lead some students to fall into a state of "suffering" and "annoying" for learning all day. And off-campus education can be completely free from the restrictions of rules and regulations, so we can slow down and choose the learning capacity that children are interested in according to each student's hobbies, so as to gradually cultivate children's interest in learning from their favorite. In fact, as long as children are interested in some of their homework, they may find a breakthrough and find their own interest in learning.
There is another case in my teaching process. The child's name is Wang Jinbo. He disliked Chinese since he was a child. He dozed off as soon as he had Chinese class. When asked about the reason, the child looked sad and asked many questions. The child just cried, and the child's Chinese class can only be worse. One day, I had a Chinese class. I clearly remember that I took the lesson "Bridge" in the sixth volume of fifth grade Chinese published by People's Education Press. I asked the whole class a question, "Describe the character of the' old man' in the text in one word." So the students rushed to raise their hands to answer questions. Some children say they are selfless, some say they are aboveboard, and some say they are willing to sacrifice themselves for others ... Just as the children were talking, I saw Wang Jinbo who rarely raised his hand to speak, so I called his name. He stood up timidly and said, "Teacher, I think we should use' self-sacrifice to save lives'." "Why?" I am particularly happy to ask. "Because the' old man' saved others' lives, I think it is more appropriate to use' saving people'." His voice was extremely low, and he looked at a loss with his head down. I took the lead in applauding him! After class, I called him to the office and told him that learning Chinese was not that difficult. As long as you grasp the words, think carefully, read more books and observe more, you will find happiness in learning Chinese. I didn't expect the children to be really interested in Chinese learning after that.
Another example is a student named Song Jie, who doesn't like Chinese very much. Later I learned that he couldn't tell the difference between four tones. Since the first grade, his pinyin has been wrong, which leads to his lack of interest in Chinese learning. I started with his weakness, and let China lead the team to teach him bit by bit. Unexpectedly, after a semester, Song Jie became interested in Chinese learning.
It is not difficult to see from the above two cases that there are actually quite a few students, precisely because they have not found a breakthrough to solve the problem, and school education cannot slow down the pace of teaching because of these individual students, which leads to such students getting worse and worse. Off-campus education can give full play to its own advantages, teach slowly, teach according to students' interests, find places where students are interested, and solve students' interest in learning!
3. Off-campus education should pay more attention to the training and cultivation of students' scientific learning methods.
As we all know, every excellent student has his own unique learning method, and their learning method must be scientific, so it is very important for students to find a suitable and scientific learning method.
First of all, teachers should use scientific methods to cultivate children's attention. Because a student's attention is the premise for students to capture knowledge, only by paying attention can children hear what they want to learn, learn and learn knowledge well. Of course, everyone's attention quality is different. Our off-campus education is to give full play to the specialty of off-campus education according to the individual differences of students and choose a scientific method to cultivate children's attention according to their individual characteristics. In the process of teaching practice, I found that students' attention can be gradually improved as long as they are guided and trained scientifically. For example, as a teacher of anti-interference course in Zhuolu Youth Activity Center, after more than two months of training, I obviously feel that many students' attention has been greatly improved and they can persist in learning for a long time. The corresponding problem-solving ability has also improved!
In fact, teachers must provide students with a certain number of scientific learning methods. For example, we often use serial memory, email memory, coded memory, paired memory and so on as scientific memory methods. If children are chosen according to their personal characteristics and age characteristics, or let them choose their own memory methods, their memory ability will certainly be improved. With a high memory ability, a child's learning efficiency will definitely improve, and he will find happiness in his study.
In addition, we should pay attention to students' mutual learning. In the teaching process, we find that mutual learning between children is a very important way of learning. Let excellent students teach poor students. Sometimes we find it better than direct teaching by teachers, because communication between children is easier, easier and more convenient. For example, when I teach my first-grade children to do finger exercises, some children are difficult to master, but others learn quickly, so I ask students to teach the children who can't do it one by one. Unexpectedly, several students learned it easily soon. Personally, I think this is due to the advantages of off-campus education-fewer people and slow pace of teaching.
In a word, the goals and objectives of education inside and outside the school are the same. If off-campus education can supplement or improve children's corresponding cultural knowledge, cultivate students' interest in learning, and then provide children with scientific and effective learning methods, then off-campus education will complement each other, give full play to the advantages of off-campus education and their respective advantages, and better provide scientific and effective services and help for each child's lifelong development!
