First, the status of social practice in colleges and universities
As one of the important ways of college students' ideological and political education, social practice has been paid more and more attention by domestic universities in recent years, and college students' social practice activities have gradually developed in the direction of base, institutionalization and curriculum. Taking Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications as an example, in order to fully implement the spirit of the document "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Further Strengthening and Improving College Students' Ideological and Political Education" (Yu [2004] 16), further deepen the education and teaching reform, explore innovative talent training mode, optimize students' knowledge structure and enhance students' practical ability, the school implements AB credit system in the student training plan. Among them, B credit refers to the credits that students complete through process education and experience under the guidance of teachers, focusing on cultivating students' social abilities such as understanding society, expanding quality and improving skills. At the same time, with the rapid development and changes in various fields of society, the society has higher and higher requirements for the comprehensive quality of talents. There are some disadvantages in college students' social practice activities, both in resource integration and organization, which are highlighted in the following aspects:
1. Some college students pay more attention to form than content in social practice.
College students' participation in social practice is an opportunity for them to go out of the classroom and go to society. They should do something, pay more attention to the content of social practice and less attention to the form, so as to exercise their ability to solve problems and then learn as much as possible about society. Only on the basis of understanding the society can they finally serve the society. However, in recent years, some colleges and universities have pursued innovation excessively in the form of social practice activities, lofty goals or media reports, so that the college students involved can't do things down to earth, but concentrate on "innovation" and "packaging". Relevant departments and schools should make scientific and reasonable planning and guidance for college students' social practice, improve the tutor system and avoid unrealistic practical activities.
2. The social practice evaluation and feedback system in most universities is not perfect.
Most colleges and universities lack the working mechanism of joint management and division of labor and cooperation in carrying out social practice. Moreover, not many colleges and universities include social practice activities in their teaching plans, and the system of social practice preparation, publicity, training and evaluation is not implemented enough, which leads to students' lack of practical steps and patience in participating in social practice. In addition, there are no hard and fast rules on performance evaluation, students lack enthusiasm for actively participating in social practice, and the form and content of their social practice reports are relatively rigid. Most schools are concerned about how to judge students' social practice.
3. Individual universities and students do not pay enough attention to social practice.
On the one hand, individual colleges and universities do not give much support to college students' social practice activities, and try their best to cope with it, failing to inspire and mobilize the support of the whole school, and the implementation of funds is not in place. On the other hand, in the minds of some college students, they lack a complete understanding of social practice activities, do not change their previous educational ideas, update their own educational concepts, and hold a playful and sightseeing attitude towards social practice.
Second, the current situation of college students' career planning education
Career planning can provide effective help for students in the process of choosing professional posts that meet their own interests, hobbies, specialties, personal characteristics and their own needs. Through self-evaluation and analysis of environmental factors, combined with professional ideals and expectations, college students plan their study, life and work with the help of relevant departments and personnel of the school, improve their comprehensive quality and employment competitiveness, and lay a good foundation for future employment.
At present, a survey shows that nearly 34% of college students have never heard of career planning, and 20% of college students think that career planning is to find a job. In China, college students' career planning is in the initial stage, and most colleges and universities have not included it in the overall education planning of the university, nor has it run through the whole university education. Although some colleges and universities have carried out career planning courses, most of them are offered in the form of elective courses, and there is still a long way to go to form personalized career planning guidance. In addition, due to the lack of clear self-awareness and professional awareness, the employment goals set by college students are vague and unrealistic, which leads to employment difficulties for college students.
Third, the role of social practice in career planning
Career planning is a process of personal analysis, career analysis and job matching. Due to the limitation of China's higher education model, college students are very confused in personal exploration and career analysis. As an important link to improve college students' comprehensive quality and employability, social practice can make career planning more scientific and perfect. Mainly manifested in:
1. Social practice can correctly guide college students' career planning.
Dialectical materialism epistemology holds that practice is the basis of cognition and plays a decisive role in cognition, and practice is the best means to correctly understand oneself and establish career development goals. Social practice can correctly guide college students to plan their career, help them to establish a correct outlook on life, career and values, learn to use appropriate methods and take effective measures to overcome difficulties and obstacles in their career.
2. Social practice can help college students know themselves correctly.
Many college students who are about to graduate are arrogant when looking for a job. While not knowing their own situation, they have a soft spot for popular, stable and well-paid jobs, which eventually leads to the result that high is not enough and low is not enough. Participating in social practice activities can help them know themselves, understand the limitations of their abilities and interests, and also enable students to learn to seek knowledge, live together, do things and be human. By participating in social practice, college students can not only experience the society, but also know the information of the society's demand for college students' quality, find their own shortcomings and deficiencies and the gap with their ideal posts, thus enhancing their consciousness and initiative to improve their comprehensive quality.
3. Social practice can help college students understand society correctly.
The purpose of social practice is to let college students know more about society and recognize the real employment situation in society. Employment seminars, face-to-face interviews and other auxiliary forms are not comparable to visiting the site. Only by stepping into the society can we see the comprehensiveness of the society, observe the corresponding career direction of the major, the direction of the enterprise where the major is located, and the industry trend where the enterprise is located, so as to adjust our efforts in time.
4. Social practice can constantly revise and improve college students' career planning.
In career planning, whether it is self-exploration, career exploration, or the cultivation of personal professional interest and ability, it is necessary to understand the "role" under the social background. The self-role obtained in this way is the most real and meets the social requirements. Social practice can help "individual roles" at different stages to correctly recognize themselves and set career development goals, adjust career planning curves in real time, and finally achieve maximum "job matching".
In short, only by correctly understanding the importance of social practice activities and running it through the whole college students' career planning education system can the students' career planning objectives be more clear, the planning content be more specific and the planning system be more perfect.
