The representative work Basic Principles of Curriculum and Teaching is called "the Bible of Modern Curriculum Theory".
Taylor put forward the famous Taylor principle. This principle involves four problems in course writing.
These four questions are: What goals should schools pursue? How to choose and form a learning experience? How to organize the learning experience effectively? How to ensure that these goals are being achieved?
These problems can be summed up in eight words: goal, content, method and evaluation. That is to determine the course objectives (this is the most critical step), select the course content according to the objectives, organize the course content according to the objectives, and evaluate the course according to the objectives.
So this model is called "Taylor model", which is essentially a goal-centered model.
