Hu Shuhua (1886- 1968) was born in a teacher's family in Chengguan Town, You County, Hunan Province. 17 years old, scholar in imperial examinations, admitted to Hunan Private Mingde School. Later, he served as professor and director of affairs of Hunan Public Industrial College, professor and acting president of Wuchang University, director of Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, director of Shanghai Iron and Steel Plant and Hanyang Arsenal. From 65438 to 0928, he served as director of the Farmers Department and Agriculture and Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Mining of the National Government. After 1929, he served as the president of Tongji University, Chongqing University and Northwest United University, the second legislator of the Legislative Yuan, the third and fourth political commissar, the professor of the Kuomintang Central Training Group, the sixth Central Supervisory Committee, and the third Central Committee member; Deputy secretary of regimental headquarters. 1932, 1940, 1944 served as the president of Hunan university for three times. From August 1935 to July 1938, he became the president of Chongqing University.
