Rereading Suhomlinski's Pedagogy —— Self-esteem
The integrity, difference and development of life determine the complexity of education and teaching. As a teacher, even if you have the wisdom of Solomon, you must remain in awe of all this.

But this complexity does not mean that there is no law and no core. Its core is the child's self-esteem!

The so-called children's self-esteem refers to children's self-affirmation or good self-feeling, is children's treasure of their own personality, and is a profound positive state formed within children.

Self-esteem is not only the premise of education, but also a state in which education is finally reflected in children's lives. Whether you have mature and stable self-esteem will determine the mental outlook and moral development of children to the greatest extent, and also determine their attitude towards knowledge to a great extent. Children whose self-esteem is destroyed will lose their educational ability.

One of the most important tasks of education is to let every child experience human self-esteem and pride in the process of mastering knowledge. Children always enter school with an open mind and a sincere desire to study hard. The child can't even imagine that others will regard him as a lazy or unlucky person. Only when children make achievements in their studies, only when they are proud of themselves and feel that they are advancing and climbing on the steep road of knowledge, is this the air that a weak spark of knowledge needs.

Give children the joy of labor and achievement, and stimulate their pride and self-esteem-this is the first golden rule of education. Learning results is the only source of children's inner strength to overcome difficulties and eager to learn!

Just like a first-grade child learning to write, from the initial twists and turns to the subsequent progress day by day, students will be happy with their progress, which in turn will urge them to do better. Children will experience happiness when they compare their good words with their poor homework. It is this joy that produces pride and self-esteem!

So what should teachers do in this process? The most important thing is to strengthen children's confidence in their own strength and wait patiently for even a small moment of progress in their intellectual activities. This kind of progress, this kind of sudden enlightenment, does not mean that the child's future study will be smooth sailing and will become a completely different person. But this kind of progress makes children experience the joy of victory and draw new strength from victory!

Suhomlinski emphasized that the core way to gain self-esteem is to let children overcome difficulties as much as possible with the help of teachers in order to gain a sense of accomplishment. The greater the difficulties overcome, the stronger the sense of accomplishment, and the easier it is to gain self-esteem and self-confidence.

To help students overcome difficulties, teachers need to have a deep understanding of knowledge and students, and have mature teaching ability. This is a professional teacher advocated at present.

A mature and highly specialized teacher is bound to:

1. Infinitely trust and love students, and establish a moist teacher-student relationship, but the focus is not on the teacher-student relationship, but on learning knowledge;

2. Insight into the current practical problems faced by students, and take practical professional strategies to help students break through difficulties on the basis of their overall long-term development;

3. Constantly help students to correct their self-evaluation through external evaluation, making it more real and reasonable, and becoming less and less dependent on external evaluation;

4. Encourage and assist students to constantly increase the difficulty and length of challenges, and constantly enhance their sense of dignity in endless challenges and creations;

On the road to becoming a professional teacher, let's work hard!
