The existence of symbolic culture and its expression are universal, while the symbolic content is special. Symbol is one of the most common cultural phenomena in China culture, but it has not been fully appreciated and understood. Towering pagodas, decorative patterns on coins, thin bamboo pictures and hazy poems all contain another meaning behind these cultural phenomena. Western academic circles began to study symbolic issues very early, while China started late, so academic accumulation was less. At present, a relatively unified definition has not been formed.
