In recent five years, our students have won international awards 10, 232 national awards and 593 provincial and ministerial awards in various disciplines competitions. The employment rate of college students reaches 96%, and the number of people employed in the world's top 500, China's top 500 and listed companies accounts for about 70% of the employed every year.

In 2006, it was renamed Wuhan University of Technology. The school is a multi-disciplinary teaching and research university focusing on engineering, science, management, economics, literature, law, art, medicine and teaching. It is a key construction university in Hubei Province and a "first-class discipline" construction university in Hubei Province.

The school has 18 colleges (departments), 1 research and design institutes and 1 independent colleges. There are 73 undergraduate majors, 23 first-level disciplines authorized by master's degree, 2 first-level disciplines authorized by doctor's degree, postdoctoral research stations 1, and postdoctoral research stations 1.

There are 22 16 teaching and administrative staff, including full-time teaching and research staff 1558, and 824 teachers with senior titles, accounting for 52.9%. The number of teachers with doctoral degrees accounts for 59.48% of the total number of teachers. Two academicians were introduced, two winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and two candidates for the National Million Plan.
