According to official website of Pingdingshan Education Bureau, as of May 15, 2023, there were five three types of high schools in Pingdingshan, namely Fengxian Red Star School, Pingdingshan Blue Sky Middle School, Pingdingshan Maple Leaf International School, Pingdingshan Weilun Bilingual School and Pingdingshan Yellow River Foreign Language School. The third kind of senior middle school is a school or other educational institution organized by social organizations or individuals other than state institutions and using non-state financial funds for the society according to law.
