After 30 years of reform and opening up, China has gradually become a big educational country. According to the statistics in 2007, there are 660,000 schools in China, with 3218.7 million students, 0/6.75 million teaching staff and 25.8% educated population. Faced with such a huge scale of education, the government is thinking about how to move from a big education country to a strong education country.

The "Six Suggestions on Formulating the Outline of National Medium-and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan" mentioned some suggestions, such as making everyone receive quality education, making cities support rural areas, and expanding the radiation area of quality education resources. These suggestions are undoubtedly of guiding significance for promoting regional education equity and improving education quality.

However, the current situation of China's education development is that the full coverage of compulsory education has not been fully realized, and the degree of educational equity we have achieved is still at a low level. It will take a long time to improve the quality of education and expand the radiation of high-quality educational resources.

Therefore, in order to truly become an educational power, we must create more high-quality educational resources on the basis of ensuring the total demand for educational resources.
