Full text of "Guidelines for Delaying School Attendance and Suspension in Bad Weather"
Article 1 These Guidelines shall apply to the administrative departments of education of cities, districts (county-level cities), kindergartens, ordinary primary and secondary schools, various secondary vocational schools (including technical schools) and special education schools (hereinafter referred to as schools) within the administrative area of this Municipality.
Article 2 The disastrous meteorology mentioned in these Guidelines mainly refers to meteorological conditions such as typhoon, rainstorm, thunderstorm, gale and hail.
Article 3 When the following meteorological warning signals appear in the area, you can delay going to school:
1. Warning signal below typhoon blue;
2. Yellow rainstorm warning signal;
3. Warning signal of thunderstorm and gale below yellow.
When the above meteorological warning signal appears during school, students and their parents may postpone school when they think it is necessary, and notify the school in time. The school will not be late or absent from class because of this delay.
When the above meteorological warning signals are lifted and no higher meteorological warning signals are issued, students should attend classes in time.
Fourth local meteorological warning signals appear, the school closed:
1. Typhoon yellow warning signal;
2. Rainstorm orange warning signal;
3. Thunderstorm and gale orange warning signal;
4. Hail orange warning signal.
If the above weather warning signal appears during school hours, students should postpone school. Schools should promptly notify the parents of students and guide them to delay their schooling.
When the above meteorological warning signal is released, no higher meteorological warning signal will be issued, and students and their parents think it is safe, they should go to school in time.
Fifth local meteorological warning signals, the school should be closed:
1. Typhoon warning signal above orange;
2. Rainstorm red warning signal;
3. Thunderstorm and gale red warning signal;
4. Hail red warning signal;
When the above meteorological warning signal appears, there is no need to wait for the notice of the education administrative department, and the school should automatically suspend classes. Parents should guide students to stop going to school automatically.
After the school is automatically closed, it shall report to the administrative department of education in a timely manner. The administrative department of education shall, according to the weather changes, decide the suspension period and notify the school.
Article 6 The meteorological warning signals issued by Guangzhou Meteorological Observatory are applicable to Yuexiu District, Liwan District, Tianhe District and Huangpu District.
Haizhu District, Baiyun District, Luogang District, Nansha District, Huadu District, Panyu District, Conghua City and Zengcheng City are suitable for meteorological warning signals issued by local and county-level meteorological stations.
Seventh schools should inform all students and their parents of the following matters through school newsletter, parents' meeting and admission notice:
(a) familiar with the meaning and defense methods of disastrous meteorological early warning signals;
(two) during the disastrous weather, pay close attention to the early warning signals and weather changes issued by the meteorological observatory;
(three) familiar with the conditions and requirements of the "postponement of school" and "suspension of classes" stipulated in this guide, and use this guide correctly;
(four) the school should educate students and their parents to correctly grasp the safety precautions when they encounter disastrous weather conditions on their way to school.
