How to enter higher education in vocational high schools
1, counterpart enrollment

Counterpart enrollment means that colleges and universities recruit graduates from secondary vocational schools (including general secondary schools, vocational high schools, vocational secondary schools, adult secondary schools and technical schools) and comprehensive high schools, mainly taking cultural courses, Chinese, mathematics, English, professional basic courses and professional courses.

2. Higher vocational colleges enroll students separately.

The independent enrollment of higher vocational education is a pilot reform of enrollment examination conducted by the Ministry of Education in some provinces and cities in China in order to further establish and improve the diversified selection and admission mechanism of higher vocational education.

Higher vocational colleges enroll students separately, which belongs to full-time general higher education. Approved independent enrollment institutions independently organize proposition, examination, marking and admission. As a way authorized by the state to organize examination admission independently, the admission work should be completed before the college entrance examination. According to the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education, after the individual enrollment is confirmed, candidates will no longer take the national unified college entrance examination, and those who are not admitted can continue to take the national unified college entrance examination.

3. Five-year compulsory university enrollment

Five-year consistent junior college: also known as "junior high school starting college education", junior high school graduates who take the senior high school entrance examination are enrolled, and after reaching the admission score, they directly enter higher vocational and technical colleges (referred to as "higher vocational colleges") for consistent training. Upon the expiration of the study period, the graduation certificate of ordinary colleges and universities uniformly printed by the Ministry of Education will be issued. This degree is a full-time college degree recognized by the state. The certificate is marked with the words "five-year junior college", which is basically the same as the words "three-year junior college", and an employment registration card will be issued. After graduating from junior college, you can also take the general college entrance examination to continue undergraduate education.
