The college has 56 faculty members and 50 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 6 doctors and 2 doctors with senior titles 15. Master degree or above accounts for more than 90% of teachers. At present, there are 6 part-time professors, with Mr. Yuan Zhifa, the former editor-in-chief of Guangming Daily, as the dean, and Mr. Program, the former director of Qingdao Publishing Bureau, as the assistant to the dean, and a group of famous people in the news and communication field such as Shao Huaze, Fan Jingyi and Zhao Qizheng are hired as part-time professors.

The college has four undergraduate majors: advertising (including advertising copy planning and advertising art design), editing and publishing, Chinese language and literature, and animation. Advertising major is set in 1997, and editing and publishing major is set in 1999, which are the earliest undergraduate majors in Shandong province. There are more than 1000 full-time students in school.

There are seven professional laboratories, including laser phototypesetting, film and television advertising production, film and television editing synthesis, film and television production center, animation production, stop-motion animation and photography. The accumulated investment in laboratory construction is nearly 4 million yuan. There are "National Animation Creative Industry Talent Training Base and R&D Base".

Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "quality-oriented, responsibility as the soul and practice as the root", the college attaches importance to quality education and practical teaching, and has established more than 20 practice bases to cultivate students' practical ability. College teachers actively carry out scientific research, attach importance to the training mode of teaching driven by scientific research, and adopt the educational mode of integrating scientific research topics into undergraduate teaching. In 2009, the school-run academic research institute "He Culture" was established, published the album "He Culture Research" and held two themed calligraphy and painting exhibitions; 20 1 1 blue culture research center was established in the college.
