The Core Connotation of Holistic Education
The core connotation of holistic education is people-oriented.

The concept of holistic education comes from humanistic teaching theory, which is formed and developed on the basis of humanistic learning view, and its discussion is rooted in its natural human nature theory.

Humanistic teaching theory holds that real learning experience can make learners discover their unique qualities and their characteristics as human beings. In this sense, learning is "becoming", and becoming a perfect person is the only real learning. This is the conceptual basis of holistic education.

In Rogers' educational ideal, he wants to cultivate a person who is "integrated with body, mind, emotion and mind", that is, "perfect person" or "functional person" who thinks in an emotional way and acts in a cognitive way. This is the main idea of holistic education.

Holistic education is defined as human holistic education, including body, mind and spirit. The goal of holistic education is to help students see the internal relations between things, which is the way for people to live in the world and develop their wisdom and empathy. Education needs to make students see themselves as a part of a larger whole and pay attention to the interconnection of all things in the universe.

The ideal model of holistic education;

To establish an ideal holistic education model, we must first understand the concept of "holistic education". From a realistic point of view, people have a double life. There are both natural life endowed by nature and life created by oneself, which is also called value life. We call the former "a life" and the latter "a life".

Natural life is the foundation and premise of human existence, the most basic measure of life and the material carrier of human value life. What is important to a person is his value life. Value life includes three scales: truth (focusing on the process of cognition), goodness (focusing on the process of will) and beauty (focusing on the process of emotion).

In the ideal model of holistic education, the "person" facing the society refers to the unity of teachers and students. In the process of teaching, the status of teachers and students has always been a hot topic in the history of modern education. There have always been two completely different views: one is "teacher-centered theory", which emphasizes the absolute dominant position of teachers in the teaching process; The second is "student-centered theory".
