Mr. Li Bai is the chairman and CEO of Sophomore (Beijing) International Hotel Management Co., Ltd., who lives in Beijing and has experience in brand development in Chinese mainland and Hongkong. Before joining Super 8 China, Mr. Li Bai was the CEO of China in Edelman International Public Relations Company. During this period, Berry provided consulting services for famous multinational companies such as Procter & Gamble and Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser Beer) to enter the China market and the development of various brands in China. Thorpe Aite (Beijing) International Hotel Management Co., Ltd. is the management company of Super 8 Hotel in Beijing, China, and currently has 5,000 employees.

Mr. Li Bai graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor's degree in management. He also received an MBA from Rutgers University in the United States and a postgraduate diploma in Chinese from Peking University.

Mr. Li Bai is currently the executive director of China Hotel Association, a member of the Franchise Committee of China Chain Store & Franchise Association and a member of the Hotel Industry Expert Committee of China Ministry of Commerce.

In 2005, Mr. Li Bai was elected as "Top 10 News Figures of China Tourism in 2005" sponsored by China Tourism Weekly and "Top 10 News Figures of China Hotel Industry" sponsored by Hotel Modernization magazine. In 2006, Mr. Li Bai won the title of "Excellent Manager of Franchise Enterprises in 2005" sponsored by China Chain Store & Franchise Association.
