The detection of alpha-fetoprotein can be used in the general survey of liver cancer, which is helpful to find asymptomatic early patients, such as AFP that is continuously positive or quantitative ≥500pg/L and excludes pregnancy, active liver disease, gonadal embryonic tumor and so on. HCC should be highly suspected.
