Exploring the effective ways of ideological and political education for college students in the new period
The ideological and political education of college students is related to the quality of higher education and the key to the success of Socialism with Chinese characteristics's career. However, there are many problems in the current ideological and political education, such as single form, outdated means and insignificant effect. The author explores new ways of ideological and political education for college students from three aspects: classroom teaching, campus culture and social practice, so as to improve the pertinence and effectiveness of ideological and political education.

A new way of ideological and political education for college students

China's socialist modernization has entered a new era of building a harmonious society, which has brought unprecedented development opportunities to education. However, with the deepening of social informatization and globalization, the ideological and political education of college students is facing more and more challenges. Only by constantly updating educational means, expanding educational channels and integrating educational resources can we ensure the quality of education, achieve educational goals and make education in Socialism with Chinese characteristics develop healthily and continuously.

First, take classroom teaching as a platform to strengthen the first classroom of ideological and political education.

As the main channel of education, classroom teaching is the key to ideological and political education. Due to the misunderstanding and neglect of ideological and political education for a long time, the ideological and political theory course as the first classroom ("ideological and political course") has been unable to achieve satisfactory educational results. A series of problems, such as outdated courses, teachers' ideas and single teaching methods, are still common in some colleges and universities. To improve the current situation, we must do the following:

Only by constantly strengthening the training of ideological and political teachers and striving to improve their comprehensive quality can the quality of classroom teaching be continuously improved.

2. Reform the teaching form of "Ideological and Political Course" and increase the participation rate of students.

Nowadays, college students have begun to move from "post-80s" to "post-90s". These young people have more flexible ideas, more information and newer ideas. If the teaching form of "Ideological and Political Course" remains the same as a few years ago, it will make students lose interest and lead to skipping classes. Only by finding out students' psychology, making rational use of media, selecting teaching cases, making full use of modern educational means, changing boring preaching into colorful interaction, improving the flexibility of teaching methods, keeping pace with the times, grasping major social news and paying attention to network buzzwords can we improve the teaching situation, increase the participation rate of students and enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education theory courses.

3. Reform the assessment form of ideological and political courses and implement the educational purpose.

Due to the particularity of the teaching content of "Ideological and Political Course", there has always been the problem of single educational assessment form. If students skip classes for a long time and burn the midnight oil before the exam, they can still get good grades. If we only evaluate the learning situation from the results, we will often get disappointing results. 4. Refine the brand of campus culture and form a long-term mechanism.

Ideological and political education of college students is the key to cultivate socialist builders and successors in colleges and universities, and its success or failure is directly related to the great cause of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
