Three core thoughts of Wang Yangming's mind study
The three core ideas of Wang Yangming's theory of mind are: mind is reason, knowledge and practice are integrated, and conscience is brought.

"Mind is reason" is the beginning, the cause, that is, conation; "Unity of knowing and doing" is a cognitive process and practice; "Conscience" is the fundamental purpose. The three are inevitable progressive relations, and then form a unified whole, which is indispensable.

First, the heart is the reason (value exists)

Mind is reason, which is the fundamental viewpoint of Yangming's mind theory, and it is to feel the world with one's own heart. Wang Yangming realized that it was wrong to separate justice from people's hearts. Although people have various desires, they are also reasonable. Forcibly using so-called justice to suppress it will never have any effect. To sum it up in eight words, I am self-sufficient, and I don't pretend to be outside.

Second, the unity of knowledge and action.

Wang Yangming believes that knowledge is the forerunner of behavior and behavior is the embodiment of knowledge; Knowing is the beginning of the line, and the line is the completion of knowing; There is a line in knowledge, and there is knowledge in the line. The two are inseparable. Knowing is cognition, and doing is action. Only practice can have this knowledge. If you don't do it, even if you read a lot of books and learn a lot of theories, you can't really acquire this knowledge. So knowing and doing is actually one thing, that is, knowing and doing are one.

Third, have a conscience.

Wang Yangming believes that there is nothing better than conscience in the world. "See father naturally know filial piety, see brother naturally know sorrow, see the lad into the well naturally know sorrow. This is conscience. " The so-called "conscience" is the conscience of one's own heart. The "conscience" mentioned here is both moral consciousness and the highest noumenon. To be conscientious, we must always accept the guidance of conscience. Seek the internal reasons, then act and realize, this is the conscience.
