Changting No.2 Middle School was founded in 1972. It has been running for more than 30 years and can be roughly divided into four stages:
★ The first stage: the initial comprehensive school-running stage (1972- 1985). At the beginning of its establishment, it borrowed a school building in Shi Ting that had been closed for many years. At this stage, the teachers and students of the whole school carried forward the spirit of hard struggle and self-reliance, reclaimed farms, set up brick factories, opened up sports grounds and built dormitory buildings, which overcame many difficulties, improved the conditions for running schools and achieved remarkable results. In the meantime, Changting 1975 of Longyan Normal University was divided into classes, and Changting No.2 Middle School was attached to it. In 1980, Changting Teachers College was reopened and separated. 8 1, and set up a vocational high school class. At this stage, the school presents a comprehensive school-running situation of junior high school, ordinary high school, ordinary normal school and vocational high school.
★ The second stage: the third-class standard-reaching stage in Li Chuang (1985- 1995). In the past ten years, the school has taken the way of tapping the potential internally and competing for assistance externally to solve the difficulties brought by the reform of the enrollment system (from dicing to giving priority to key schools). On the one hand, the school does everything possible to arouse the enthusiasm of teachers and students, teach students in accordance with their aptitude and educate people carefully; On the other hand, we should make full use of the excellent education policies of the county party committee and government, and strive for the input and support of the government and social forces. It has cooperated with the provincial Hongqi Machinery Factory, Changting Louziba Forest Farm and Changting Match Factory. During this period, the scale of running a school has been continuously expanded and the quality of education and teaching has been significantly improved. 1995 was rated as a "third-class standard" school in Fujian province.
★ The third stage: the grade promotion stage of the school (1995-2003). At this stage, the school has entered the ranks of standardized schools after the construction, and the college entrance examination has ranked among the forefront of similar schools in the city several times, and was awarded the "Special Contribution Award for Education" by the county government. It has formed the school-running characteristics of science and technology education, and won the national third prize of the fourth, fifth and sixth youth popular science selection project and the first prize of Fujian constituency. The school has become "a banner of the city's third-class standard schools."
★ The fourth stage: the integration stage with the restructuring of Changting Teachers College (2003-). In August, 2003, Changting No.2 Middle School was integrated with Changting County High School, which was restructured from Changting Normal School, and became the largest middle school in Longyan City. The school covers an area of 148 mu, with 386 in-service teachers (including more than 500 retired employees) and more than 5,000 students. Since the integration of the two schools, the school has worked hard to improve the conditions for running schools, continuously deepened the reform of education and teaching, and made new breakthroughs in all work. In April, 2005, it was rated as a provincial "Class II standard" school, and the school was successively rated as a provincial "civilized school", "advanced school for quality education", "green school", "home of model workers" and "Top 100 schools for biological innovation education of middle school students in China in 2 1 century". Excellent results have been achieved in college entrance examination, senior high school entrance examination and national examination. There are 379 undergraduates in 2005, 565,438+03 undergraduates in 2006 and 786 undergraduates in 2007.
