Main responsibilities:

To implement national, provincial and municipal laws, regulations, principles and policies related to education, formulate policies and plans for the county's educational reform and development, and organize their implementation. Responsible for the overall planning and coordinated management of all kinds of education at all levels in the county, rationally allocate educational resources, promote the balanced development of compulsory education and promote educational equity.

Guide the education and teaching reform of schools at all levels and all kinds, and fully implement quality education. Strengthen moral education in primary and secondary schools and guide physical education, health and art education and national defense education. Reduce the schoolwork burden of primary and secondary school students and promote their all-round development.

Manage the county's basic education, vocational education, adult education, special education and preschool education; Formulate basic education development plans, management methods and basic requirements for education and teaching, and standardize school-running behavior.

Guide the reform and development of employment-oriented vocational education. Strengthen the construction of vocational education teachers, guide the construction of vocational education majors, teaching equipment and teaching materials, and improve the level and efficiency of vocational education; Responsible for adult education and eliminating illiteracy among teenagers.

Responsible for the implementation of the county compulsory education school funding guarantee mechanism, the preparation and release of education budget and supervise the implementation; Responsible for the planning, implementation and management of education infrastructure construction projects in the county; To work out education funds and education infrastructure investment plans jointly with relevant departments; Special funds for education supervision and management; Provide financial assistance to students from poor families.

Responsible for the county's private education. Formulate the development planning and management measures for private education in the county; Responsible for the licensing, macro management, supervision and evaluation of private education schools; Guide private education schools to improve the quality of education and the level of running schools.
