1, Shanghai Vocational College of Arts and Crafts is the only independent vocational college in Shanghai, the only vocational college in Shanghai that undertakes the pilot reform of the national education system, and the only vocational college in Shanghai that has been selected into the national "double high" construction plan. Established in 2000 by Shanghai Arts and Crafts School (established in 1960) and Shanghai Second Light Workers College (established in 1979).

2. The college is the only art and design college among the national 100 demonstration higher vocational colleges; National advanced unit of vocational education; Training base for Chinese intangible cultural heritage inheritors determined by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism;

It has set up secondary colleges such as Handicraft College, Product Design College, Urban Design College, Digital Art College, WPP school of visual arts and Plastic Arts College, covering arts and crafts design, digital media art design, public art design, product art design and advertising design and production.
