As long as the test scores reach the admission line, you can be admitted, and schools with high test scores are good. This is fair, but it also has its shortcomings: first, some students with strong comprehensive ability but not outstanding test scores will be eliminated, and those with poor moral, intellectual and physical abilities will be admitted, resulting in the so-called phenomenon of high scores and low energy. Third, the admission lines in different regions are different, which is regional privilege and protectionism, which violates the spirit of fairness and justice and is not conducive to fair competition among students. The reform measures are as follows: First, college admission should combine the results of college entrance examination, peacetime performance and comprehensive quality, come up with practical methods, conduct quantitative assessment and select the best candidates. Second, seriously implement the education syllabus, and take cultivating students with all-round development, high comprehensive quality and practical work ability as the ultimate goal of school education, which is reflected in school evaluation. Third, cancel regional differences, unify the questions in the college entrance examination, unify the marking, unify the admission, and eliminate regional differences and scores.

However, it is easier said than done. Except for the exam results, most of them are soft rulers, which are difficult to grasp accurately! For example, some people have average comprehensive quality and poor scores in the college entrance examination, but because of their background, wealth or influence, they will be admitted as having strong comprehensive strength and so on. This also encourages unhealthy trends. However, the general direction of reform is not wrong. To form a system, it is necessary to strengthen supervision. Although the college entrance examination is flawed, it is still the fairest way to select talents.
