Fu Lei (1April 7th, 908-1September 3rd, 966), a native of Xiasha Township, Nanhui County, Jiangsu Province (now Hangtou, Pudong New Area), is a famous translator, writer, educator and art critic in China, and one of the important founders of China Association for Promoting Democracy (DPP).
I studied at the University of Paris in my early years. He translated a large number of French works, including Balzac, romain rolland and Voltaire. In the early 1960s, Frey was accepted as a member of Balzac Research Society in France because of his outstanding contribution to the translation of Balzac's works. He has two sons, Fu Cong and Fu Min. Fu Cong is a world-famous pianist and Fu Min is an English teacher. All his translations were edited by his family, and were submitted to Anhui People's Publishing House for compilation of Fu Lei's Translation Collection, which was published in 198 1 year and has been published in 15 volumes.
Mr. Fu Lei is magnanimous and resolute. At the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, he suffered great persecution, was robbed by the Red Guards, was criticized for four days and three nights, and was punished by kneeling and wearing a high hat. Found the so-called "anti-Party evidence" (a small mirror and a faded old pictorial of Chiang Kai-shek). 1in the early morning of September 3, 966, he died angrily, swallowed a huge amount of poison at home, and ended his life tragically. His wife Zhu Meifu also hanged herself.
(1) Studying abroad in early years:
1On April 7th, 908, Fu Lei was born in Fujiazhai, Nanhui County, Jiangsu Province, China (now Group 5, Hangtou Wang Lou Village, Nanhui District, Shanghai). Because he cried loudly when he was born, his elders took the name of "Lei" and the word "Warm".
19 12 years, his father Fu Pengfei died of unjust imprisonment and was raised by his mother.
1920 (12 years old) was admitted to the primary school attached to Shanghai Nanyang Public School (now Nanyang Model Middle School), and was admitted to Shanghai Xuhui Public School the following year.
1924 was expelled for criticizing religion, and was admitted to the middle school affiliated to Shanghai Datong University in the same year.
1925 participated in the May 30th Movement.
1926, inspired by the victory of the Northern Expedition, Wu Zhihui, the school manager of Datong, and Yao Zhixun, a classmate, took the lead in the anti-academic valve movement, and the mother forced her son to return to China for the sake of his safety. After autumn, he was admitted to Zhi Zhi University for the first year.
From 65438 to 0928, Fu Lei studied art theory at the University of Paris, France. I began to be influenced by romain rolland and loved music.
(2) Teachers' occupation:
193 1 year, Fu Lei returned to China to teach at Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts (now Nanjing Art Institute).
Director of the school office, concurrently teaching art history and French, devoted to the translation and introduction of French literature. The following year, he formed a "decisive club" with Pang Xunqin and Ni Yide.
1932, Fu Lei married his childhood cousin Zhu Meifu, who gave everything for her husband and children. According to their friend Ms. Jiang Yang, Zhu Meifu is Fu Lei's "gentle wife", "loving mother", "beautiful salon lady", "capable housewife" and "secretary". During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, he stayed in Shanghai, then joined the China Association for the Promotion of Democracy and made pro-American remarks.
After 1949, he served as a member of Shanghai CPPCC, director of Shanghai Branch of Chinese Writers Association and secretary of the Secretariat. Fu Lei received a good education and achieved great accomplishments in art and music theory and appreciation.
(3) persecution:
Fall into a political whirlpool:
During the period of 1958, Fu Lei was classified as a "rightist" wearing a hat by the Shanghai Writers Association during the "anti-rightist remedial class" in Shanghai. The Communist Party of China (CPC)'s leader in Shanghai, Ke Qingshi, insisted on defining Fu Lei as a rightist. Zhou Erfu, then deputy director of the Propaganda Department of Shanghai Municipal Committee and secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Writers Association, thought that Fu Lei belonged to the scope of "whether it can be designated", which coincided with Zhou Yang's going to Shanghai to listen to opinions. Ke Qingshi agreed with Yu and Zhou Yang on Tuesday. Afterwards, Ling Ke was appointed by the Chinese Communist Party to inform Fu Lei of the news. But when Fu Lei made a review and was ready to let go of the burden, the schemer Ke Qingshi changed his mind and decided to designate Fu Lei as a "Rightist".
From 65438 to 0958, Fu Lei's son Fu Cong studied in Poland. Fu Lei's letter comes from the correspondence between Fu Lei and his son during this time. 1966 At the end of August, at the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, Fu Lei was robbed by the Red Guards, criticized for four days and three nights, and was humiliated by kneeling, wearing a high hat and other forms, and found the so-called "anti-Party evidence" (a small mirror and a faded old pictorial of Chiang Kai-shek).
(4) commit suicide by taking poison:
1966 On the morning of September 3, Zhou Judi, the maid, found that Fu Lei and his wife both committed suicide in the "storm building" at No.5, No.284, Jiangsu Road. Fu Lei swallowed a huge amount of poison and committed suicide on the couch at the age of 58. His wife Zhu Meifu hanged herself in the window frame. After the death of Mr. and Mrs. Fu Lei, the ashes were originally buried in Yong 'an Cemetery, and later merged into Wanguo Cemetery, which was lost due to the destruction of the Red Guards during the Cultural Revolution. Fortunately, a worker used to be a fan of Fu Lei's works, so he hid the urn and escaped being destroyed. ?
(5) Rehabilitation:
1April, 979, sponsored by Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Shanghai Branch of Chinese Writers Association, Fu Meifu's memorial service. Ling Ke made a eulogy and announced that 1958 was classified as a rightist and should be corrected. All those who were framed and persecuted during the Cultural Revolution were rehabilitated and their political reputation was completely restored. The ashes were buried in Shanghai Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery.
2. Fu Cong:
Fu Cong, born in 1934, began to learn piano at the age of eight and a half, and studied under the Italian pianist Mei Baiqi at the age of nine. 1954 to study in Poland. /kloc-0 won the third place in the 5th Chopin International Piano Competition and the best prize in Mazzuca in March, 1955. Since 1959, he left his hometown to engage in art, which was a sensation. Since then, he has traveled all over five continents and galloped alone on the international music stage, gaining the reputation of "piano poet".
(1) First love:
Luck and pain are often twins who go hand in hand. Fu Cong, 20, is an enviable and even enviable lucky guy. He didn't even enter the door of the Conservatory of Music, but under the guidance of his tutor, he worked hard on a sweaty piano stool. What's more, 1954 studying abroad is like a rare element, and only the top among the top have such hope. He was actually selected by the Ministry of Culture and sent to Poland for further study. At that time, he was in his first love.
Parting brought him endless thoughts. Looking back, he used this sentence to express his feelings for his first love: "Only first love is true love!" Childhood friends, that kind of pure love, will always leave him with "good memories." When Fu Lei learned that his son was practicing hard in Poland, he fell into emotional pain. Indeed, knowing a son is better than knowing a father. And Fu Lei pointed out the maze for his son with his profound lessons in love. Fu Lei warned his son: "Enthusiasm is a beautiful spark, and beauty is beautiful, but it can't last." "Few lovers in full swing in the world can become happy couples who grow old together."
Soon, the melody of fate turned sharply, and both father and son suffered bad luck, so there was no time to discuss the concept of love again. Fu Lei, who suffered from historical misunderstanding, was wrongly classified as "Rightist"; Fu Cong, because of his girlfriend's letter, left Poland for England and never heard from home again. There was a national disaster. Fu Cong had to live in London, England and make a living by playing the piano. "Yunshan is thousands of miles away, and the news is thousands of miles away." Losing his motherland, letters and lover, Fu Cong fell into deep loneliness. Fortunately, under the care of Premier Zhou Enlai and Foreign Minister Chen Yi, Fu Lei kept in touch with Fu Cong. Fu Cong got comfort from the letter from home, and relieved his longing for each other's memories.
(2) American music companies:
With the world as the stage, Fu Cong "runs the pier" and performs in one country after another. He met many famous musicians and often performed on the same stage. Mei Niuyin, an American violinist, fascinated Fu Cong. His frankness, humor and profound musical accomplishment made them forget the New Year.
At the same time, Fu Cong has an unusual relationship with the famous violinist's family. He fell in love with Milla, the daughter of Mei Niuyin's ex-wife Nora. When he came to London in 1 year and 8 months, Fu Cong revealed the good news to his parents in a letter from home, which immediately made Fu Lei and his wife feel unspeakable joy and excitement. Fu Lei, a translator who is full of fatherly love and caring for his son, put down his pen and wrote a long letter to Fu Cong, telling him how to choose a lifelong partner: "Think about it before you decide, not just on impulse"; "I think the most important thing is natural kindness, natural gentleness and an open mind.
With these three things, others can be gradually cultivated. "It is dangerous for the other person to regard you as her whole world, but it is also very precious. More than three months later, 26-year-old Fu Cong and 2 1 year-old Milla got married.
The young couple had a sweet life together at first. Milla is a naive girl who has never experienced the world, but she is a little impatient. Fu Cong's hard training and busy performances often make her feel lonely. After more than three years of marriage, Milla is very happy. Before the child was born, Fu Lei had given the child a good name-Ling Xiao for the boy and Ling Yun for the girl. Ling Xiao is a gorgeous yellow flower, which Fu Lei likes very much. Mrs Frey is busy knitting a sweater for her future grandson. A Chinese-Western hybrid was born. The little guy brought joy to the small family.
Mr. and Mrs. Fu Lei are looking forward to reuniting with their daughter-in-law and grandson whom they have never met. They often dream that Milla and Ling Xiao suddenly appear at their home in Jiangsu Road. The Cultural Revolution tore up all dreams. 1In the early morning of September 3, 966, Mr. and Mrs. Fu Lei committed suicide and left this world, and the dream of reunion was shattered. More than two months later, Fu Cong learned the bad news from a French friend. His eyes were round and he was in tears.
(3) Married life:
After more than ten years, the families of Fu Cong and Milla broke up. In Fu Cong's words, the reason is that "the nature of the East and the West is so different". Fu Cong married hastily in extreme depression. He chose an oriental woman-the daughter of the Korean ambassador to Morocco. Fu Cong's second marriage was unfortunate. In his own words: "After three months of marriage, we can't live together ... three months, a short marriage." A hasty marriage leads to a quick divorce. He, once again, became a loner, wandering on the road of life. ?
Finally, the piano sound of a China woman resonated with him. She, Patsy Toh, is a female pianist who was born in Gulangyu, Xiamen. She is a woman who grew up with the sound of the piano. Her father is a local rich businessman and used to be the agent of the manager of an Asian oil company. Mother's name is Zhou Moshi. Later, she went to Hong Kong with her parents and continued to practice the piano. Finally, she won scholarships from the Royal Conservatory of Music and the Paris Conservatory of Music.
As a piano player, pianist and descendant of the Chinese people, I fell in love with him. They started a life together. 1974, she and Fu Cong gave birth to a second son. Fu Cong could no longer ask his father to name his son, so he used another name-Lingyun, which was his father's "standby" as the name of his second son.
Fu Cong is a family of four and lives in London. 1979, after the motherland got rid of the nightmare of "Cultural Revolution", Fu Cong returned to Shanghai to attend the memorial service held by Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Shanghai Writers Association for Fu Lei and his wife. 1982, Fu Cong came to Beijing from England with his wife Patsy Toh and his second son Lingyun. Time flies. Today, Fu Cong-nian is in his prime and lives with Patsy Toh in a three-story building in London. He likes watching tennis when he plays the piano. He rejoiced at the growth of his two sons. Regrettably, the two sons who grew up in the sound of the piano did not inherit his mantle.
Extended data:
1. Letters from Fu Lei is a very special book. It is a reflection of Fu Lei's thoughts, even the most important work of Fu Lei's life, because "A Letter from Fu Lei" is a letter between him and his son, which reflects his painstaking management of his son as a father. The book A Letter from Fu Lei is full of fatherly love. Maybe every father loves his children. But while Fu Lei loves his children, he also does not forget to educate him in all aspects, such as music, art, philosophy, history, literature and even health.
2. Classic fragments of Fu Shu:
(1) Fu Lei's beloved son:
"Dear child, the day after you left, you want to write a letter, for fear that you will feel bored, that's all. But I miss you every day and wake up at six or seven every morning. I can't sleep over and over again, and I can't tell why. It seems that Christophe's mother stayed at home alone and remembered the images of the children's childhood scenes. Your mother and I always think of your little story between the ages of 23 and 67. "
From the lines of the above sentence, we can see that Fu Lei loves his son deeply-I hope that his grown-up son can thrive and develop outward, but I can't bear to let his children stay away from him. Parents always do. From conception to delivery in 10, they worked hard to raise their children step by step, hoping that they would be useful in the future and would not sleep on the street. However, when children become talents, it is also time to leave the eaves and fly alone. As parents, we are both happy and sad for them. After all, there is a feeling of flesh and blood.
(2) Fu Lei's encouragement to his son:
"As far as play is concerned, I think the overall situation is not bad. I am full of energy in one breath. The delicate place is very delicate, and the timbre changes greatly. We are all very happy and moved. Good boy, I really should give you some compliments. Looking back 195 1 when you first returned to Shanghai from Kunming in April, you really walked halfway up the mountain from the low-lying land. I hope that you will pay attention to the whole cultivation from now on, and you will definitely reach the top in the future. "
This is Mr. Fu Lei's evaluation of his son Fu Cong after listening to his recording. This includes teacher Fu's record, careful analysis and objective appreciation of his son. Later I mentioned my hope for my son. This is the way parents educate their children. It is necessary to show their affirmation of children, so that children have the determination to work hard and the confidence to succeed. On the other hand, I also put forward my own hopes and pointed out the direction of progress and development for the children. As children, we should also learn from our parents' experience, learn from each other's strengths, and open up our own new path on the road guided by our parents.
(3) Fu Lei's accusation:
"In institutions, it is inevitable to catch up with tasks and hinder normal study. This is what I expected. Everything can only be won by ourselves with a firm will and position, and we can be gentle and powerful to the leaders. How much can I prepare for going abroad? -especially in terms of experience, I have been uneasy. From now on, everywhere depends on your personal perseverance, belief and will-the will to practice. "
Although parents have a thousand words of advice, they can't let go. As a parent, my son has mixed feelings about how to deal with the changing society. With his own experience, remind his son to take less complaints and take more shortcuts. This is the idea of parents all over the world. Children are the continuation of parents' lives and the hope of holding up the sun in their hearts. Parents should take fewer detours and don't want their children to repeat the same mistakes. I hope they can "go up a storey still higher" than themselves.
(4) Mother's concern:
"I hope you put all your energy into the study of knowledge, with more reason and less emotion. Of course, you need to rely on your strong confidence to control all your troubles. This is not an easy task, but it must be overcome. I have never mixed any opinions about your emotional problems. I think you are making progress in all aspects. You are a smart man, you will realize it yourself. Since I am your mother and we are flesh and blood, we have to nag and persuade. "
Or the mother's prudence. The father has a good heart for his son's future, and the mother starts with the most delicate place-the son's emotional problem, and gives his son a clear road direction. Tell him how to deal with his feelings and career problems, so that his son can understand where the focus is.
(5) Fu Lei's beloved son longs for:
"Son, I abused you, I will always be sorry for you, and I will never atone for this sin! These thoughts have never left my mind all day, but I dare not tell your mother that if you do something wrong in your life, your conscience will never be at peace! Really, Balzac said it well: some sins can only be redeemed and cannot be washed away! "
On the occasion of parting, father Fu Lei blamed himself for being strict with his son and being "cruel". It turned out to be my own fault. In fact, this is the love for my son! Young people don't work hard, but old people are sad! When his son was young, Mr. Fu Lei was strict and meticulous with his son, and "cruelly abused" his son Fu Cong. Where would a father abuse his own flesh and blood? Mr. Fu Lei just wants to be a talent under strict father.
