China's ancient lyrics, including ci and ci, are an integral part of China's ancient literature, the closest and most common form of literature and music, and therefore the most important content in music literature. Lyrics have a long history and are one of the earliest literary genres in ancient times. It is the intersection and combination of poetry and song. Tracing back to the primitive society, poetry, music and dance were closely related and integrated in the initial period, and often appeared in the form of primitive comprehensive art. The original poetry and song were inseparable, and poetry was also called "poetry", which is proof. Almost all ancient poems, such as more than 300 poems in the Book of Songs, can be sung. At this time, poetry has no boundaries. With the development of literature, poetry, as an independent literary form, has entered the literary world. No matter the structural form, language expression, sound rhythm, or the rules and requirements of singing, they are gradually improved and standardized. Lyrics, a literary work specially created to meet the needs of singing (including oral and written forms), have gradually developed according to their own laws and formed their own characteristics. But lyrics and poetry are in a harmonious relationship, and it is difficult to completely distinguish them. It is necessary to define the lyrics for the need of research. The primary feature of lyrics is singing. Due to the limitation of music recording means, it is difficult to demonstrate the singing of ancient written works completely from the perspective of music, so it is necessary to analyze the process of poetry production. From the production form, there are three main types to show their singing ability. First, according to the degree of word form. Is to have words first, and then compose music according to them. This is a common practice in modern Song Dynasty, but it was a minority in ancient times. Mainly restricted by the development level of music art, most of these works are specially written for singing, and there are also a few. Although the original author didn't write for the sake of singing, the composer composed music for the sake of appreciating the lyrics or the needs of the singer, which is also called "self-directed music". Most of these lyrics are marked in the title and content, and some are not marked, so we need to find a basis. Second, according to the music system. This is a common form in the creation of folk songs and literati's ci, qu and Sanqu, and it is created according to the requirements of relatively fixed score for the number of words and phonology of lyrics. Most ancient music scores have their own names, such as epigrams, qupai and tunes in folk songs. This kind of poem is also written specifically for singing. Except for some folk songs, the names of tunes (aphorisms, qupai and intonation names) are generally marked. Third, fill in the words according to the sound. Because the creation of lyrics can not meet the needs of singing, some artists and singers choose some ready-made poems as lyrics and fill them in the original score to sing, which is very common in the Tang and Song Dynasties. Artists and geisha pay more attention to sound than words. They demand the harmony of beat and rhyme, and are not harsh on the choice of content and poetic style. These poems are accidental as lyrics, but melodious and catchy poems can naturally get more opportunities. There are many such lyrics, so we should find reliable singing basis to determine our identity. Another feature of lyrics is lyricism. "Poetry expresses ambition, and songs always express ambition", and songs express ambition with lyricism, which is natural since ancient times. Of course, songs with narrative elements are not excluded, but the number is relatively small and they are mainly expressive. Narrative songs like Mulan Ci do not pursue the integrity of the story, but lyricism still plays an important role. With the development of rap literature since Tang and Song Dynasties and drama literature since Song and Yuan Dynasties, music literature presents an increasingly colorful appearance. Rap literature and drama literature are characterized by fine narrative, complete story lines and concrete characters, which is a big difference between them and lyrics. There are actions and words in the performance, which is the difference between them and singing. Therefore, the lyrics of opera and rap should not be included in the lyrics. In Quyi rap, there are also a few scenes and lyric sketches without characters and plots, such as some tea songs and lyric sketches of Paizi songs in Quyi, which have the literary characteristics of lyrics, but they are generally only used as a lining in Quyi rap. In the history of lyrics development, folk lyrics and literati lyrics are two components throughout, forming two development threads of lyrics. Folk lyrics show great charm and vitality with their rich flavor of life, strong realism spirit and vivid expression, and become the source of lyrics. However, because it comes from the lower class, and most of it is spread orally, its literary performance is relatively rough, and it is rarely valued by the upper class and literati. It is difficult to gain a foothold in the literary world of feudal society, and only a few can be published, preserved and circulated so far. In the history of literary development, there are always some literati who dare to break through traditional ideas. According to their hobbies or social needs, they constantly draw nutrition from developing folk songs and choose them. Through their own efforts, they improved and promoted folk songs and gradually formed a new upper-class literary form. These "exquisite" lyric forms have become the patent of literati, withered and sung from reality, and then gradually replaced by new forms. This is the track of the development of literati lyric poetry, and it is also the general law of the rise and development of upper-class literature from folk literature. Today, when we study the development of ancient lyrics, we should try our best to make these two parts truly reflected.
This paper reviews the evolution of ancient lyric poetry and its characteristics different from poetry. Then we pay attention to the evolution of modern lyrics.
In China's pop music scene, it has experienced such an evolution process: the lyrics have risen from the secondary position of songs to the equal position, and then to the main position. This situation changed in the 1970s and 1980s. The emergence of Tayu Lo's works and campus songs in Taiwan Province can be called a revolution in pop music, which has played a role in changing customs and bringing forth the new, and triggered the great prosperity of pop music creation in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Fang Zhouzi is a representative figure in the artistic analysis of modern popular lyrics. Fang Zhouzi is unique in Chinese pop music because of his unique way of writing lyrics. His style of writing lyrics in the form of poetry has made many contemporary lyricists look forward to it and it is difficult to surpass it. In his lyrics, the allusions of China's traditional poems and elements of traditional culture are everywhere, and they are presented to the audience in a montage way. People appreciate Fang Zhouzi's lyrics not only to judge an ordinary musical work, but also to further appreciate the profound charm of China's traditional culture.
Song is an art that combines words and music. As the most popular and easily accepted music, it can also be said to be the shortest (and of course the longest) music work, which has long been loved by people. But because of the short space, it is not easy to write a novel, unique, distinctive and widely circulated masterpiece. A good song is usually concise, touching, poetic and musical, and then a beautiful tune is written according to its meaning. The importance of lyrics is self-evident. Let's talk about the function of the lyrics themselves. The so-called lyrics are the lyrics of chorus, which are sung through a certain rhythm and melody and become sound. Or rough or supple, or bright or soothing, or narrative or lyrical, and so on. According to my experience, lyrics are deeply loved by the public because of their own functions, which can be proved from the following aspects. First, because the lyrics are words sung by music, "words come from the heart", so the lyrics have strong and distinct lyricism. "Save Lechuan/under the shady mountain/the sky is like a bend/the cage covers four fields/the sky is gray/the wild/the wind blows and the grass sees cattle and sheep." This song is very powerful and helps us understand the nomadic life of Baile people. It has great enlightenment and aesthetic education functions. Was selected as a Chinese textbook for primary school students. Didn't it show the charm of the lyrics? Secondly, the lyrics are deeply loved by the public because of their entertainment. From ancient times to the present, where there are crowds, there are endless songs, some sing about the joy and joy of labor, some sing about the leisure of life, some vent their fatigue, and some express their dreams of peace and prosperity. Lyrics have a unique feature, that is, back and forth. People "move in their hearts, but form in words." If you don't speak enough, you will sigh, and if you don't speak enough, you will sing. " Those praise words are carols, those sad words are elegies, those spring movements are love songs, and those clouds are war songs. Only after the storm can we feel fresh and quiet, and only by venting incisively and vividly can we enjoy pleasure and relaxation. The joy of life is to take it out of your chest. With the music singing lyrics, or shouting or explaining, it is refreshing. Thirdly, the lyrics are deeply loved by the public because of their extensive advertising benefits. Du Mu's famous poem "Tomb-Sweeping Day" in the Tang Dynasty: "It rains a lot during the Qingming Festival, and pedestrians on the road want to die. Excuse me, where is the restaurant? The shepherd boy refers to Xinghua Village. " Today, the brand of "Xinghua Village" is derived from this, which shows that people can enjoy the benefits brought by the products and also appreciate the beauty of the artistic conception of poetry. I envy today's lyricists, and I also envy them: the lyrics have quietly entered modern people's lives, making some new poems that can't be inserted with music wings look at the ocean and sigh. Lyrics, with strong emotional power, directly hit the hearts of the world!
