Who's Chen Jiageng?
Chen Jiageng is a famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader, entrepreneur, educator, philanthropist and social activist. He was from Jimei Society (now jimei district, Xiamen, Fujian) in Tongan County, Quanzhou Prefecture, Fujian Province.

19 13, Jimei, the hometown of returning home, founded Jimei Primary School, Jimei Middle School, Normal School, Aquatic Products, Navigation, Commerce, Agriculture and Forestry (collectively referred to as Jimei School) and Xiamen University. Teachers and students of Xiamen University and Jimei Xue Cun all respect them as "school owners".

Extended data:

Chen Jiageng's greatest contribution to the people of China lies in his unswerving support for China, which is also an anti-Japanese cause. China and Singapore were both invaded and ravaged by Japanese imperialism in World War II, and the Chinese in Singapore were treated as badly as China. At that time, Lee Kuan Yew, an adult, was dropping out of school, and there was no information to show that he participated in the anti-Japanese struggle.

Relatively speaking, in 1937, when the "July 7th Incident" occurred, Chen Jiageng immediately organized the Singapore Relief Association, donated S $10 million to support War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, and put forward the famous proposal of "making peace with the enemy" at the second meeting of the National Political Council.

For a time, overseas Chinese were loyal and surging. When the Japanese invaded Singapore, Chen Jiageng avoided the Japanese and persisted in resisting Japan under extremely difficult conditions. Chen Jiageng's contribution to resisting Japan and saving the nation has actually surpassed that of Lee Kuan Yew, because the Japanese invaders were not only enemies of China, but also enemies of Singapore at that time, and Singapore was also killed by Japan.
