The original picture of Dunhuang ladies is in Mingsha Mountain in the southeast of Dunhuang County in western Gansu, China. Dunhuang, a node city of the Silk Road, is famous for its grottoes and murals. It is the site of the World Heritage Mogao Grottoes and Yumenguan, the border of the Great Wall in Han Dynasty. It is one of the four oases in Gansu Province.
