Northwestern Polytechnical University (hereinafter referred to as Xigong University), located in Xi City, Shaanxi Province, is a multi-disciplinary, research-oriented and open university featuring the development of personnel training and scientific research in the fields of aviation, aerospace and navigation. It is a national "first-class university" under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. School 1960 was identified as a national key university by the State Council, and both the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan were listed as universities in the State Council 15.

1995 The first batch entered "21Project" and 200 1 Project 985, and successively won "National Civilized Unit", "National Civilized Campus", "National College with Typical Experience in Graduate Employment" and "National Demonstration School of National Unity and Progress". The school adheres to the motto of "honesty and courage" and carries forward the school spirit of "three realities and one innovation" (solid foundation, practical work, simple style, pioneering and innovative).

The school is rich in resources and has distinctive academic characteristics. There are more than 34,000 students and 4,300 faculty members, covering an area of 365,438+10,000 square meters. There are 27 colleges, including the School of Aviation, Aerospace, Navigation and International Education, the School of Educational Experiment, and the School of Engineering of Queen Mary University in London, Northwestern Polytechnical University. At present, there are 74 undergraduate majors, 37 master's degree-level authorized disciplines and 23 doctoral degree-level authorized disciplines.

Five discipline groups, including materials science, engineering, chemistry, computer science and physics, entered the top of ESI international discipline ranking 1‰, among which materials science and engineering entered the top 1‰, forming the 3M (materials, electromechanical, mechanics) discipline group, 3C (computer, communication, control) discipline group and science discipline group led by China Aeronautical Engineering Group.
