Cutting methods and matters needing attention of Ficus microcarpa
First, trim the branches.

Choose the robust branches of the banyan tree and prepare a clean pair of scissors, which can be wiped and disinfected with alcohol in advance. After the alcohol is completely dried, cut off 3-4 branches at the top of the plant with scissors, and remove the leaves at the lower part of the branches, leaving only 1-2 leaves at the top of the branches.

Second, hydroponics takes root.

Insert pruned banyan branches vertically into clear water. Be careful not to add too much water, just below the bottom of the branch. Never let banyan leaves soak in water, or they will rot easily. Then, change fresh water every two days.

Third, cut into the soil

After nearly a month of hydroponics, white water can sprout from the pole at the bottom of the banyan tree. When the root system grows to 2 cm long, the banyan tree can be fished out and the plant cuttings can be transplanted into moist soil with water, light and ventilation.

Fourth, maintenance after insertion.

Don't let banyan trees bask in the sun after transplanting and planting. Put it in a place where light is scattered and ventilated. Usually observe that the soil surface turns white and dry, and it is poured thoroughly. After the growth trend of banyan tree is obvious, it means that the plant grows new roots and then gradually increases the light intensity.

Five, gradually change the basin

As a big tree, banyan grows fast at seedling stage. In spring and autumn, with the growth of plants, large pots can be gradually replaced. Trees can be planted in big pots, but young trees can't be planted in big pots, so as to avoid soil water from rotting roots.
