1. Research background.
Our city is a national poverty-stricken area, a typical agricultural city in mountainous areas, and governs 1 district, 2 cities, 15 counties and 1 economic and technological development zones. The total population of the city is 8,770,400, of which the agricultural population is 6,960,300, accounting for 79.36%. There are 3,297 primary and secondary schools with 787 teaching points, with students 1, 438+0,000, 69,506 teaching staff and 63,708 full-time teachers. Because it is a mountainous city, and because of the long-term history or management system, the economic and social development is unbalanced, the dual structure between urban and rural areas is quite different from the reality, and the allocation of educational resources, educational investment and the potential of educational resources between counties and urban and rural areas are unbalanced, resulting in obvious differences in the development of educational quality. Compared with other cities in the province, it has been in a backward state for many years. In recent years, the municipal party committee and municipal government of our city have attached great importance to the scientific development of education and listed education as a "livelihood project" in the city, such as integrating urban construction, education, planning, personnel and other departments to plan the educational structure. The municipal education department actively promotes the balanced development of basic education, such as actively implementing the "reconstruction project of weak rural schools", "distance education project", "rural teacher training project" and "education quality management year". Pay special attention to the improvement and development of teaching quality. However, compared with the developed areas in the province, there is still a certain gap. In order to realize the development strategy of "connecting Changsha, Zhuhai and Fujian to build a new Ganzhou" put forward by the second meeting of Ganzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and realize the grand goal of Ganzhou's catching up and leaping development, we must vigorously deepen the reform and development of basic education and incorporate it into the Eleventh Five-Year Plan of Ganzhou's educational development as the strategic focus of the city's educational work.
Quality is the central work of the school, teaching quality is the lifeline of the school's survival and development, and the development of education is ultimately the development of teaching quality. Therefore, improving the teaching quality of basic education is the eternal topic pursued by the theoretical research and practice of education and teaching, the ultimate goal of quality education, and the concentrated embodiment of the satisfactory education run by the party, the government and the education administrative department. In view of this, we have carried out the research on "improving the teaching quality of primary and secondary schools in Ganzhou".
2. The value and significance of the research.

Our city has a large population, and the rural population accounts for 80%. The rich rural population resources are in sharp contrast with the low level of human resources quality. Judging from the present situation, the present situation of rural human resources lags behind the reality of rural economic construction and social development, which directly affects the process of building a new socialist countryside. Human resources refer to the sum of people with intellectual and physical labor ability. How to transform huge population resources into abundant human resources and potential human resources into realistic human resources depends on the quality of basic education and teaching. Our city was influenced by socialist education and culture earlier, and the "four haves" cultural and educational policies in the Soviet period have been influenced so far. However, due to many reasons, the teaching quality of primary and secondary schools in our city has been in a backward position in the province for many years. The research on the teaching quality of primary and secondary schools has always been the focus of education administrative departments, scientific research institutions and schools at all levels. That is to say, the teaching quality in China has been "abnormal" and "one-sided" for a long time.
