Because in the past, due to the shortage of teachers, the education between our countries and regions was seriously unbalanced, and it was difficult for children in many poor and backward places to enjoy high-quality teacher classes in first-tier cities.
Online education is a good solution to this problem.
Now, a teacher may be attending a class in Beijing, but the live video of his class can be synchronized to any place in the country, so that students there can watch, listen and enjoy these high-quality educational resources.
To some extent, this has brought more choices and more possibilities to education in remote and backward areas.
However, educational equity is definitely relative.
Take the synchronization class as an example. Students who can give lectures on the spot are definitely better than watching synchronous videos.
This is unfair to students in remote and backward areas who can only enjoy quality classes through online education.
In addition, in our country, apart from teachers, there is a big gap between different regions and even between different schools in the same region.
Take our school as an example. In the rural areas of third-and fourth-tier cities. None of the children here have excellent families. Tablets and computers that are common in big cities may not be standard. (Of course, mobile phones are standard now! )
Therefore, online education is difficult to spread to these families, which is a very realistic problem. Therefore, since it cannot be popularized, it will not enjoy the convenience brought by online education, which will inevitably widen the gap between students in different regions.
From this perspective, online education makes education more unfair.
These families are not the only ones who do not enjoy the convenience of online education. Even many schools do not necessarily have the conditions for online multimedia courses. The campus network has been fully covered for so many years. How many rural and remote schools can really make the campus network unimpeded? How many people can use the campus network to listen and watch online synchronous education smoothly?
Online education, promoted vigorously when the school hardware facilities failed to keep up, actually caused unfairness in education.
To sum up my point of view:
With the development of science and technology, online education is definitely the future trend. Compared with now, it will definitely bring greater educational equity.
However, there are still many problems in online education. For example, as I mentioned just now, many rural and remote areas can't keep up with the hardware equipment, which leads to a growing gap between students.
Like this problem, if not solved, online education has become a factor of unfair education at this stage.
In addition, I think education is fair, and we can't just rely on online education.
Otherwise, every class will be equipped with a good computer in the future, and then it will be enough to leave one teacher in each subject in the country to take video lessons.
True education equity still needs us to:
1. In terms of hardware, every primary and secondary school in China can enjoy the same hardware facilities; 2. From the software, we should recruit more excellent teachers to enrich rural and remote areas. Make these places attractive and retain people. The above is my opinion.
