Some social training institutions recruit school-age children and adolescents without authorization, and carry out full-time education and training in the name of "Chinese studies" and "female morality" education to replace compulsory school education. Many children are sent to the corresponding institutions by their parents, thus giving up the education they should have received at school.

To this end, the Ministry of Education recently issued "Several Provisions on Prohibiting Obstruction of Compulsory Education", requiring local education departments to strengthen compulsory education for school-age children and adolescents, and deploy a comprehensive investigation in the first half of 20 19 to resolutely correct the behavior of institutions or individuals that lead to school-age children and adolescents not receiving compulsory education, and seriously investigate and punish accountability according to laws and regulations.
