Why are there so many problems for international students in China?
The reasons for many problems are as follows:

1. There is a lack of evaluation, access and exit mechanisms for international students' enrollment and training, and the quality of training is mixed. Some higher education institutions unilaterally pursue the level of internationalization, attach too much importance to the number of international students, greatly increase the number of international students enrolled, and ignore the quality of overseas education.

2. There are problems in the management of international students. Some higher education institutions completely copy foreign educational ideas and methods, and provide foreign students with completely westernized education and teaching, without taking root in the fertile soil of Chinese civilization and the actual national conditions of China, and provide China-style education for studying in China.

3. There are deviations in the training objectives of international students. On 20 18, the Ministry of Education issued the Quality Standard of Higher Education for International Students in China (Trial), which made it clear that "international students in China should be familiar with the basic knowledge of China's history, geography, society and economy, China's national conditions and culture, China's political system and foreign policy, and China's mainstream social values and public morality", and put forward requirements for international students' language ability. However, after studying for several years, some foreign students still have very limited knowledge of China and are not clear about China's national conditions and culture, so it is difficult for them to reach the third level of the international Chinese proficiency standard. Their graduation thesis can only be barely completed with the help of others or even written by others.
