Since its establishment, the school has received strong support from provincial, city and county leaders and relevant departments, which has built a broad platform for the development of the school. Wang Jianguo, Deputy Director of the National Basic Education Department, Chen Guizun, Vice Governor of the Provincial Government, and Director of the Paint Right Department of the Provincial Education Department visited the school successively. In 2005, JTV-"Walking into Taihe" and the first Wuji Festival in China were held in Taihe No.2 Middle School.

Schools adhere to the rule of law, rule of virtue, vigorously promote quality education, fully implement democratic governance, seek truth from facts, forge ahead in unity, and embark on a unique road to running schools.

The first is the institutionalization of management. The school has formulated and improved a series of rules and regulations through democratic means, with standardized, institutionalized and scientific management.

The second is the whole process of moral education. The school closely follows the teacher's ethics and the civilized and healthy student center, and comprehensively and continuously carries out moral education activities with different contents and different sequences. All teachers are loyal to their duties, diligent and enterprising, and care for every student. Nine students, including Wu Yu, participated in summer camps in Shanghai and Beijing successively, forming an excellent study style of "diligence and pragmatism" and an excellent school spirit of "sincerity and diligence".

The third is the scientific research of teaching. The school adheres to the road of research-oriented schools, organizes teachers to carry out research on the effectiveness of teaching topics and students' research-oriented learning, and pays attention to cultivating students' ability to use their hands and brains. More than 60 teachers and more than 80 students were awarded at national, provincial and municipal levels. Four students won the second prize of National Youth Biology and Environmental Science Practice and were sent to Central South University, a national key university. They have sent more than 550 undergraduates to Peking University, China University of Science and Technology, Nankai University, Beijing University of Science and Technology and other institutions of higher learning, and their college entrance examination scores ranked second among key middle schools in the city.

The fourth is environmental gardening. The school invests a certain amount of money to build a garden school every year to create an elegant and comfortable environment for teachers and students, so that teachers and students can feel at ease, calm and comfortable. After junior high school was stripped off in September 2000, the school was successively rated as a provincial civilized unit, a provincial advanced school of modern education technology, a provincial traditional sports project school, a provincial advanced school of open school affairs, a provincial key construction middle school during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, a provincial advanced garden unit, a municipal key middle school and a municipal moral education demonstration school. Before 2005, the school will be promoted to a model high school in Jiangxi Province.

In May 2009, the school was promoted to a key middle school in Jiangxi Province.
