The College of Continuing Education of Southeast University is an integral part of talent training in Southeast University, an important bridge to serve the society, and the main force to build a national lifelong education system and a learning society. The College has been successively approved as the national key construction base for teacher training in vocational education, the teacher training base for vocational and technical education in Jiangsu Province, the cadre education and training base of jiangsu provincial party committee Organization Department, the continuing education base for professional and technical personnel in Jiangsu Province, and the industrial talent training demonstration base of Jiangsu Economic and Information Committee. Founded in June, the College was formed by the merger of the former Distance Education College, Adult Education College and Vocational and Technical Education College of Southeast University. It is one of the earliest universities in China to establish a college of continuing education. Its predecessor can be traced back to the 1950s.
