Shandong Sheikh University, because it is a medical university, is called "Shandong Union Medical College", and because the school is in Jinan, it is also called "Jinan Union Medical College".
Medical college has a long history and was founded in 1993. The school was formerly a technical secondary school of Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2003, with the approval of Shandong Provincial Department of Education, Jinan Sheikh Vocational and Technical College was established. In 2004, with the approval of Shandong Provincial People's Government, it was renamed as Shandong Sheikh Vocational and Technical College.
20 1 1 April, approved by the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college and transformed into Shandong Sheikh University.
