Chemistry education in China has been one of the sciences since the third grade. In addition to two compulsory textbooks, there are six elective courses: chemistry and life, chemistry and technology, structure and properties of substances, chemical reaction principle, basic organic chemistry and experimental chemistry. There are six editions in China: People's Education Edition, Jiangsu Education Edition, Shandong Education Publishing House and Zhejiang Science Edition, Guangdong Education Edition and Shanghai Education Edition.
