The Ministry of Education issued a document to reform academic continuing education.
Office workers will completely miss their university degrees from prestigious schools next year.
At the end of 20 16, the Ministry of Education issued the Administrative Measures for the Setting of Continuing Education Major in Colleges and Universities (hereinafter referred to as the Administrative Measures). A stone stirred up a thousand waves, and the major reform of academic education caused widespread heated discussion. The management measures require that the existing undergraduate and junior college majors be sorted out, adjusted and standardized. From next year, ordinary colleges and universities will no longer hold continuing education beyond the scope of full-time education, and all freshmen will be enrolled according to the majors in the new catalogue. 20 17 has thus become a transitional year before the reform of academic continuing education.
The reporter learned that at present, there are four main forms of continuing education qualifications recognized by the state, namely adult higher education, higher education self-study examination, online education (distance education) and modern distance open education of RTVU. Among the above educational forms, the gold content of self-taught examination is the highest, and the gold content of adult college entrance examination, online education and TV University is decreasing in turn.
According to the documents of the Ministry of Education, from next year, ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities that do not hold full-time junior college education will no longer hold continuing education at the junior college level. Those who are most affected are office workers with high school or technical secondary school education or below, because this is their last chance to enter a famous university ("high school").
