This enthusiastic family heard that I would come to Zuojiawan again to make up the Twelve Chapters of Zuo's Genealogy.

Another important task of this trip to Zuojiawan in Hengdong is based on the eleventh volume of Zuoshi Family Tree, pages 1, 98, 99, 10 1, 104 and 65438+.

Later, Zuo Guoguang took me to the home of his brother Mr. Zuo. When the local Zuo clan heard of my arrival, they all gathered around enthusiastically and greeted me to sit down for tea. Among them: 69-year-old Zuo Genyao and his wife Liu Kaiying; Zuo Guoguang and his wife; Left couple; Zuo Jieyuan, the left family of four groups in Shimen Village, 5 kilometers away, also rushed over; There is also a Zuo family whose name I don't know. He claims to be Zuo Jiawan's younger brother.

Compare the Picture of the Stone Dragon Ancestral Hall with the Yin and Yang pictures in the twelve genealogies of Zuo's family, and ask the Zuo's relatives present to confirm where the "Stone Dragon Zuo's family" is. Several left family members present at the scene quickly agreed: the site of Shilong Ancestral Hall is at the foot of the small reservoir on the other side of Zhuzhang River in front of the door, and the mountain names and place names such as Shilongchong, Gaogongling and Shilong Ancestral Hall are all on the site of Zuojiawan in Shishan Village. ...

At this point, it may be certain that Zuojiawan in Shishan Village, Hengdong County is the "Shilong Zuojia" I am looking for-"There is Shilong Village in Shimen, Hengshan, where Zuo's family made a fortune".

Second, the origin of the stone family

According to the Book of Twelve Genealogies of Zuo's Family, Volume II, Preface to the Origin of Hengshan Long Yan School, Zuo's family originated from Qi Gongzi (Zuo Gongzi) in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and later moved to the Second Mausoleum in Danyang, Jiangsu. Ancestors include Zuo Si, Zuo Hui and Zuo Sixian. In the Southern Tang Dynasty, Zuo Sixian's grandson Zuo Yeguan lived in Sima, Hengzhou, and was an official, living in Qiao Feng, Yongxin, Jiangxi. He is the ancestor of Zuo family.

From the Yuan Dynasty to the first year (1264- 1294), Zuo Miaolong, the son of Zuo Gonggui, a descendant of Ye Gong, moved to Hengshan from every bridge, and then moved to friendship, called Shiqiaopu, and gave birth to a son with a good name, a good mirror and a good official.

Shanquan moved to Malongfu, Qujing, Yunnan, and his male native place is unknown.

The descendants of Shan Gong Ming live in Zuojiachong and Luanshan of friendship, and there are many descendants, which are hard to describe.

Good advice for children: Yun Lu, Yunshou and Yunnian. The descendants of Yunnian moved to Songjiao Hall in this city (referring to Hengshan County), and also moved from Songjiao Hall to Anren Niuchong jiepai. And I have derived six sons, the sixth son is Zuo, and Zuo gave birth to two sons. The eldest son, Zuo Derong, moved back to Hengshan from Shiqiaopu in friendship during the Chenghua period of Daming (1465- 1487), and the place he chose was Shichong, the founder.

Where is Zuo Jia in Shiqiaopu, Youxian County, which is repeatedly mentioned in Twelve Genealogies of Zuo's Family?

According to the textual research of Volume II of Tongzhi Edition and the whole map of the county, the northern part of the county is slightly east, and the same place is marked with the names of Shiqiaopu and Xinshi. And volume 11 notes "Xinshi and Shiqiaopu go to the county seat of Wuli". In other words, Shiqiaopu and Xinshi are in the same place, 50 miles away from the county seat.

On August 20 15 19 16, I left Zuojiawan, Shishan Village, Yangqiao Town, Hengdong County, took a shortcut, passed through Zuo Jia, Shimen Village, and set out for Youxian New Town to find the exact location of Zuo Jia in Shiqiaopu.

Car navigation shows that it is about 40 kilometers from Zuojiawan in Shishan Village to Youxian New Town. After entering the territory of Youxian New Town, I walked and inquired about Zuo Jia in the new town, but I didn't know there was Zuojia Village in the new town. When I arrived in the new city, I heard that there was a left home in Xinlian Village, south of the city.

Drive about 2 kilometers south from Xincheng, leave the avenue, enter the village road to the west (right), and then drive about 2 kilometers north, which is the left home of Xinlian Village in Xincheng. Is this the stone bridge shop mentioned in the twelve genealogies of Zuojia?

Surrounded by small undulating hills, it gives people the feeling of beautiful scenery, quiet and peaceful pastoral scenery. It seems that our ancestors, the left ancestors, have the demeanor of Mr. Tao Yuanming, and the place of migration is a treasure trove of "planting chrysanthemums under the east fence and seeing Nanshan leisurely", which is very suitable for seclusion.

At a small intersection, go west, go up a small slope, and walk for twenty or thirty meters, and you will be left home. I heard I was looking for Zuo Jia. A dark-faced middle-aged and elderly villager immediately stopped his busy work and received me very warmly. Later, I learned that his name was Zuo Sanding and he was born on1September, 955 13. He introduced that the local Zuo Jia was named "Zuojiachong of Houbeiling Formation in Xinlian Village of Xincheng". He also said that he participated in the compilation of Thirteen Genealogies of Zuo and Fourteen Genealogies of Zuo in Youxian and Hengdong counties. I seem to have found a "wise man".

I took out a copy of the Left Twelve Genealogies compiled in 1938 and showed it to him. I asked him if it was paved by Shiqiao. This honest farmer, a "wise man" in my heart, answered me some questions very enthusiastically, sincerely and seriously: the local area is not the left home of Shiqiaopu; The twelve genealogies of Zuo in my hand have nothing to do with them; The local left family is a descendant of the family. ...

When Zuo Sanding communicated with me, he surrounded some left villagers. Among them, a lean, dark and short middle-aged man is riding an electric car and carrying an empty bucket of pure water. He is sitting on the electric car and chatting with Zuo Sanding about the origin of their left home. I feel that this "thin black" man surnamed Zuo is particularly stubborn and self-righteous. He is more sure than Zuo Sanding. Chapter 12 of Zuo's genealogy has nothing to do with them. They are descendants of Tao.

There is also a thin, clean, medium-sized old man in his 60 s, holding a baby in his arms, and basically making no comments, but his expression is very much in favor of Zuo Sanding and the "thin black man".

It seems that there are many "wise men" here, and they seem to know the origin of this branch like the palm of their hand.

Please see, as recorded in Volume II of the Twelve Genealogies of Zuo: In the first year (1264- 1294), Zuo Miaolong, the son of Zuo Gonggui, a descendant of the county, moved to Hengshan from the beginning, and then moved to friendship. Butch was called Shiqiaopu, and he was born. Yi Dao's son was three: good. The descendants of Shan Gong Ming live in Zuojiachong and Luanshan of friendship, and there are many descendants.

The Genealogy of Zuo's Twelve Chapters contains the genealogy of Zuo, a branch of Friendship New Town (Shiqiaopu): Yi Dao Gongxia, Yun Xiang, Chengda, Chenglian, Zuo Yan, Zuoji, Zuo Wei and Zuoyou. ...

I thought at that time: is it appropriate to use the idiom "forget your ancestors after counting the classics" on this occasion?

There are also people who are really sensible. Just when I was feeling helpless and bored and ready to leave here, a fat man in his fifties drove his wife on a motorcycle (or electric car) and passed by. He talked with me enthusiastically and asked me, "Have you been to Zuo Jia in Luanshan a few months ago?" Are you looking for Shiqiaopu? Someone in the Zuo family in Luanshan told me about you, saying that you are looking for roots and promoting the origin culture of the Zuo family ... "。

Later, I learned that his name was Zuo Meitian, and promised to copy a set of "Chapter 12 of Zuo's Genealogy" and mail it to him after I returned to Beijing, so that he could know more about the origin of this Zuo's family and educate those so-called "wise men" by the way, so as not to make the principled mistake of "forgetting one's ancestors after several classics" again.

The people of Zuo clan here have also introduced me: there are 50 families named Zuo in this group (region), with about 220 people; There are 100 Zuo clan relatives in Zuojiaping (also known as Zhang Shuxia), a new city not far away.

4. Zuo Jia, Shiqiaopu, Youxian County (below)

201August 5 19 17: 00, return along the road, enter a new town, and drive north for more than ten kilometers. Along the way, I asked about the left home under the camphor tree, and I couldn't tell where the left home under the camphor tree was.

Later, I learned that there are two place names "under the camphor tree" in the new city, and there is Zuojia under the camphor tree in Daqiaotou Village. It was already 6 pm when we found this place. There are not many Zuo families here, only a dozen families with about 80 people. These situations were introduced to me by a gentleman named Zuo. Zuo was born in 1940, 1 1. He is not tall, his face is thin and white, his clothes are neat, and he is sincere and kind to people. Give people the impression that they are knowledgeable and polite.

Zuo said that his family had a genealogy of Zuo Shixiu, and he immediately moved it out to show it to me. This set of Zuo's Twelve Genealogies, with the font of Zhong, is very old due to poor preservation. I promised to give him a copy of Twelve Genealogies of the Left for his collection.

Mr Zuo has a deeper understanding of Zuo Jia's migration in Shiqiaopu. He said that when ancestors moved to Shiqiaopu, they first set up an inheritance in Zuojiaping (also known as Zuogongping), and later moved to Zuo Jia (Zuojiachong) of Houbeiling Formation in Xinlian Village not far away. Now there is no Zuo surname living in Zuojiaping (or Zuogongping).

Therefore, the left home of Shiqiaopu mainly refers to the left home of Zuo Jiachong in Xinlian Village, including the left home under Zhangshu.
